I am trying to be positive, but I have a sneaking suspicion this could be the equivalent to the Sydney in the wet game from last year, where the team gets smashed by a better drilled unit away from home ... and the blame gets put on the rusty key forward toiling away.

ken then used that as evidence to support his mosquito fleet dutch total football theory, we beat up on a shitty side and around we go again.

Carn Brett, youcandoeeet!

A forward line of:

R.Gray - Trengove - Neade
S.Gray - Dixon - Impey

Has 4 players who average less than a goal a game and a tall forward who has taken 1 more mark inside 50 in the AFL than me in two months. The opposition know this and then focus on the two forwards that can actually kick a goal. Time to put results ahead of dogma for the love of god!

Port have the best ruckman in the comp, a reasonably dominant midfield, the best defense in the comp. Got one of the better key position forwards.

Yet we insist on playing foot pumps in our forward line.

Best ruckman? One of the better key forwards?

Better than average both of them but both nowhere near top echelon.

lol, Ryder has been the best ruckman this year. Grundy & Jacobs both not too far behind but not on Ryder's level at the moment.

Dixon up until 2-3 weeks ago was in All-Australian form. Had a lean couple of weeks but still would be in the squad

Also Atley & Hombsch in for Neade & Broadbent.

Still think Hartlett won't get up, will be interesting to see who would come in for him presuming he doesn't get up

Ryder would be the AA ruckman, doubt Dixon would be in the squad

You're probably right, think he is around the mark though. Especially if he finishes the year strongly. Probably has to kick a few goals though

Dixon would be close to the AA squad. The Essendon massacre didn't help his chances.

And I did say one of the better key forwards...not the best, but he's up there.

Ryder is clearly the best ruck in the comp, No idea what your version of top echelon is?

Perhaps the red, blue and yellow glasses you look through see Jacobs as the AA ruckman?
