Jim

Our skill level and lack of ability to put pressure on the ball carrier (well beaten in the tackle count) may have contributed to our loss, may....

Fair enough. There were plenty of Bays fans at the game whinging about the umps all night so thought he may be one of them

Quite the contrary. I can attest that am Bays spent much of the match explaining the finer points of the umpires' craft to me. :D

Disapointing night last night. Norwood used the ball far better than we did; far more efficient and took their chances. Also not easy when you're trying to play catch up all night after a rotten start. I thought we did well to get it back to 11 points at half time, but Norwood were soon right back on top. Almost an elimination final next week v South.

Crowd was 1,898.

Probably really the first weekend this season where crowds have been genuinely hit by weather. Interesting that Port v Adelaide still got the biggest crowd, even though it was live on television. So disappointing given the run of weather we've had that it had to turn to rubbish last night, but that was the risk the club took having a Saturday night game in July. I'd like to see more night games at Glenelg, but let's have them in the first half of the season.

Yesterday at the Bay should have been 11:35 Ressies, 2:10 league, 5:00 pm U/18s.

Afternoon game may have got more spectators and with the 18s to follow would have given some entertainment for those that want to stay behind and have drink afterwards.

Giving Glenelg its only home night game of the season in the second week of July beggars belief.

Or bring the games back 1 hour and play those games on a Sunday ?
Start the League at 1:10pm , get it finished just before the Port Power West Coast game starts

Our number of effective kicks was 2.6875 times the number of frees we got, according tot he official SANFL Champion data stats.

That may tell a story too.

Another interesting story may be the number of infected bowels.
If Norwood's planed new clubroom/bistro is anything like Glenelg's,
I hope we never have similar staff directives nor food control standards.
What a f'n joke ! Firstly you can't even make a booking. First in only apparently.
Then you can't take a lousy bottle of wine back to your table.
The current rule is that they put your name on it and everyone has to go
back to the bar to get a refill. Just as civilised as the wife-swapping years eh?
;)
If the meal order electro-gizmo ever goes off it's usually wrong.
Then you get a disgusting meal on cardboard that tastes better than the food.
All with disposable wooden knife and forks which inevitably breaks whilst eating.
The eco-unfriendly waste must be astronomical. Still, try and look on the bright side.
When the food poisoning kicks in there's always the 'HOLDY' on the way back to the car.

p.s. Dear Holdfast Hotel, we're so sorry to destroy your limited plumbing, but who cares
if you're too lazy to clean all the piss off your disgusting mensroom seats.
p.p.s. Please send all repair bills to the Glenelg Football Club !!!
p.p.p.s. What a pity. Glenelg used to be a favourite venue. Now the toilets are as bad
as the food. Or does one cause the other??? F*****G disgusting !!!
Always nice to have a good whinge.
Thank dog we dyslexics won !

Whilst I may not be the most impartial person when it comes to the GFC

No problem with our order
Schnitty for my son looked good and was demolished.
My butter chicken was good without being great.
The disposable knives and forks aren't good though.
$27 for two feeds we got more than what I paid for.

Toilet in good working order the next day, along with my alimentary canal.

The match day menu and bistro aren't the GFCs biggest issues on game day....
