Great win for Kenilworth

Reckon Woody South were too tall for the conditions. St.Marys Park is affected by the wind more than any other ground in the league and when that strong Northerly comes in it always plays havoc with marking the footy and kicking in to that wind is very tough, kicking it sideways is even tougher. With the ball hitting the deck it did play in to our hands a bit more. Credit to Woody South they responded well in the last when the wind died a little but probably come from too far back.

The top 5 could change alot come 4.45pm in Rd18

1st Glenunga 24pts Blackfriars(A) Lockleys(H) Hope Valley(A)
2nd CBCOC 22pts Woodville Sth(A) Rosewater(H) Greenacres(A)
3rd Lockleys 22pts Greenacres(A) Glenunga(A) Kenilworth(H)
4th Blackfriars 20pts Glenunga(H) Hope Valley(H) Woodville Sth(A)
5th Pooraka 18pts Hope Valley(A) Woodville Sth(H) Rosewater(A)
6th Hope Valley 14pts Pooraka(H) Blackfriars(A) Glenunga(H)
7th Woodville Sth 14pts CBCOC(H) Pooraka(A) Blackfriars(H)

Looking at the fixture CBC has the easiest run home while Glenunga have two hard ones and could see a change at the top. Lockleys also have a good run home and would be eyeing the Glenunga match up to even up with them on pts.
Blackfriars have a big match up with Glenunga this week and need to keep winning to stay ahead of Pooraka while also holding onto a chance at 3rd.
Pooraka just need to keep on winning and win this week they will sew up a finals berth then win the last 2 could have a chance at 4th spot.
Hope Valley and Woodville Sth need to win all games and hope Pooraka drop them all.

Gonna be a fun finish to the season.

It's fair to say here's the reason why we probably won't make the finals:
Rd 3 - Lost to Greenacres by 18pts
Rd 4 - Lost to Lockleys by 15pts
Rd 6 - Lost to CBCOC by 4pts
Rd 8 - Lost to BOS by 3pts
Rd 13 - Lost to Lockleys by 5pts (after being 6 goals up at 3/4 time)

If 3 of those are "W's" that has us in the 5, if 4 of those are, it has us sitting equal 2nd. That's footy though.
We play 5th, 4th and 1st in the run home and hopefully we can take a big scalp or two and get some momentum in to next year.
Hard to see Pooraka losing to Woody South and Rosewater, even if we did win all 3..

Around a 3 goal win for the bulls. Hopefully CBC did us a favour today and beat Woody Sth to be locked in this week.

I think the b's got up by 8-9 goals

We got up by 13 points. It was bit of an arm wrestle all day. Not a pretty game.

Observed the Blackfriars vs. Glenunga game today, Blacks fought back in the 3rd but Glenunga's youth seems to be their driving force...

The relegation battle is coming down to the wire. Kenilworth got Greenacres this week while Rosewater have CBC then the following week Keniworth play Lockleys and Lockleys play us. Could come down to Rosewater trying knock us off in the last round.

Glenunga didn't enjoy that third quarter did they ... players disputing every free that went against them, their coach calling out to the umpires to improve their holding the ball decisions, their supporters complaining about a fair one on one contest that left one of their guys a little worse for wear ... just seem to like it to all go their own way

Jesse Landers from Glenunga On the 15th July played against Pooraka .Then On the 16th July played for Uradlia Districts C grade
This is on top of the facts he was before his permit got revoked
Was playing for 2 clubs in 2 different associations in the one year
Last Saturday played for Uradlia U18s

How come Unley and Eastern Pk get their points taken away yet Glenunga walk scott free

If he is cleared to Glenunga and is a Glenunga player, I don't see what the issue is for Glenunga when he plays for Uraidla
Uraidla would be in the gun for their C Grade as I am guessing the permit is to allow him to play U/18 only
