There was more talk about Port last year? I'm surprised by this.

Given how random the season has been this year with upsets, are Port a chance to still miss the 8 this year?

Looking at their draw ADL (A), COLL (H), WB (A), GC (H) they could win all , but just as easily lose 3/4.

I''ll be surprised if we beat Adelaide, I expect to beat Collingwood and Gold Coast and with the Bulldogs game in Ballarat who knows.

If we lose to Collingwood and Gold Coast at home, then we have no right playing finals anyway.

Coll & GC are two games i thought Port would/should win.. but drop one of those and things could be very interesting!

Out of curiosity, what would Port fans consider a better outcome - finish 4th and play the Crows 1st final, or finish 5th/6th and host a home final?

Finish 4th, get a double chance and possibly go straight to a prelim or get a home semi final rather than a best case scenario of playing an away semi.

Bit of a no-brainer to any team in the comp

This.

We have no issues with our contested stocks. Outside distributors an absolute must.

I will be in the minority here, but I wouldn't be adverse to Motlop for the right price as a free agent.

I expect White to finish up at seasons end, and Motlop, despite his inconsistencies is an upgrade there. Playing he and Robbie up forward with Chad making a more permanent move into the midfield will give us a dangerous mix of small forward options.

No I totally agree. Wouldn't sell the farm but a more than handy pick up and a significant upgrade if we could get him.

Although I think Adelaide are the better side, I have this bizarre intuition that Port will finally get the top 8 voodoo off their back and knock the Crows off in a final.

Of the two ( Motlop and Rockliff ) both are restricted.

I would doubt Geelong would play hard ball on Motlop, I think Brisbane would ( by matching any offer ) to Rockliff.

The vibe I am getting up here is the Lions would be happy to let Rockliff go given the compo they would get would be more than sufficient given ladder position. Would only match a real low ball offer, which Rockliff wont take anyway. If that makes sense

Agree, can't see why we would need Rockliff. Agree with everyone on here, Motlop would fit well i think and fill a role. You would think Monfries, White & Krak will all be finished at the end of the season so can't see the harm in bringing him in. Instead of Rockliff, i would rather a Gibbs type. We won't get Gibbs as we would have to trade for him but someone else of his calibre and can play a bit more on the outside.
