Hanson, Cree, Buss and Holland should be put on ice and wrapped up in cotton for finals.

Rae needs a run however. Put him at Full Forward.

Nothing will compare to my ribbing of Dan Noske by telling him the Joiners Arm's schnitzels are burnt, the chips soggy and I'm leaving a bad yelp review. Took all week to think of that one.

He proceeded to slot his 4th.

Mitchell Park had our Black Tie Ball on Saturday night – great night! The best bit was…

Our President, Shane Lynch, announced that our Senior Coach, Wayne Knowles, and the club have come to an early agreement to honour the second year of the coaching contract and continue on together in 2018. The response from everyone attending the function speaks volumes to the popularity of not only the news that we have finally managed to have a coach stay for more than one year (for the first time since Wayne Wyld) but also the job that Wayne has done with us in his short time.

Many of us know Wayne as he has coached at this level for a long time (one of the biggest reasons we recruited him) but I think he quickly realised that Mitchell Park is a bit different. In good ways and bad. His ability to build relationships with all stakeholders (players, supporters and committee) and turn that into a real buy in has been outstanding. Wayne has integrated in perfectly with the club and has identified numerous opportunities to provide us with sustainability, cultural change and ultimately on field success.

Still a lot of work to do, years of it in fact, but I think we have the off field team to deliver it.

Did the same thing at Ingle Farm a few years ago, hence laid the foundation for the stability and credibility they now have,

I've got a new sponsor - Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Shane was very good today, exceptional hands - couple of times I thought I worked him under the ball but he still plucked 'em. I said before the game that if he kicked 5 or less then I would be happy. He kicked 6 - can only tip my hat.

Congratulations to Lynton Power as well on his 200th. Once a parky always a parky. Ripper fella and great footballer.

Cheers to Morell for the Jugs after the game mate much appreciated, The club itself put 2 on then Morell got us another 2 see I told you blokes he was alright! ;)

On the game, We started very well in the 1st with the wind (Off the top of my head 6 goals up at 1/4 time I think) Mitchell Park had a lot of momentum in the second term with the breeze but I think its fair to say poor skills by foot really let you down, Although the game was far from over I think we were up by about 12 points at the main break. Para Hills started the 3rd term with a real quick goal and that sort of set the scene for the second half. I was very impressed with our last 1/4 in to the strong breeze.

Thought Hanson was outstanding best player on the ground for mine followed by Bradford he would've had 40+, Buss was very good at stoppages Walzack got plenty of it but thought his foot skills let him down which is unusual as he is normally pretty good by foot, Nuske was a rock for us down back and The young lad who stood me literally didn't give me an inch all day very disciplined defender.

Was good to have a beer with Nat, Knowsly and a few of the older Mitchell Park lads after the game and the concern for poor Bangers 'scratch' was outstanding  , and Yes Knowsly hopefully I'll survive long enough for the finals series lol ;)

On to North Pines this week then probably TTG in the first final at home.
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

One of the major difference between the sides. Para Hills ability to slow it down, hit targets and use the ball well into the wind was really impressive. Whereas we wouldn't of been able to hit water kicking from a boat.

Bounces into mud and leaving it behind (that was my favourite), kick outs on the full, kick outs straight to Para Hills players, fluffed kicks into the corridor from a back pocket, trying to mark when we should spoil and spoiling when we should mark. Simple dropped chest marks (me). All resulting in goals.

Yeah Shane played really well and was way too good for yours truly, but **** you guys are good enough without us helping you as well.

Ah well. Onwards and upwards. Was a good day of local footy played in great spirit nonetheless.
