If there ever was a showdown or a derby grand final I'd expect the media to be crazy as it would be rare and a big deal within the respective states. A lot less quiet if it happened in nsw or qld I'd imagine though.

I'm agreeing with you.
Judging by the regular claims of Victorian media bias from people in SA, there are many that don't understand the point you're making, or think it should only apply in SA.

Rubbish, they got used to losing Grand Finals, I've only lost two and don't particularly like it.
