Geezus, never again, makes the Reepham seem like the Hyatt.
A guy with a glass eye wouldn't stop talking to me, told me he lost his eye in Darwin as when his fire cracker didn't go off he bent down to see what was wrong with it and bang. Summed up the intelligence of those there!

In other pub related news head down to the Sussex for a night of karaoke tonight and my last ever shift there! :D

Don't you attract similar or like minded people in life though? ;)

Fair point. The Grog Squad used to think I had a nuffy flute as I'd attract any loon within a 5km radius quicker than the Pied Piper would find a rat!
I must have a friendly face or something. :?

I'd rather talk to the nuffy in the corner at the pub then stare inside my schooner glass and talk to myself.
You learn interesting facts from people at the pub.

I spend enough time serving them let alone wanting to talk with them.
I talk to regulars and barmaids all the time but if my missus isnt at the pub with me I prefer to sit in a beer garden by myself playing around on my phone. If the missus is with me Ill spend most time inside being sociable.

Very true, and potentially worthy of its own thread. "Things I learned from a nuffy at the pub".

If I'd known you were there, Wedgie, I could've popped down and added to your nuffie tally! ;)

You're right though, that pub is to be avoided with extreme prejudice.

I found the pub and the whole area quite depressing in my only visit there.

Took the clan there tonight, 2 schnitties for $22. Double that please.

Best schnitties ever? NO, but they are a good size and basic gravies (mushroom, peeper, tomato sauce are thrown in).

Salad and vege bar is available in the price and once again not the best but still not the worst.

All up four schnitties, 1 WED (pint), glass of wine and two softies came to $65.

Solid 6/10 and given the price you can't go wrong on pay Thursday, giving the bride the night off.

Keeps her in a good mood which might but more than likely will not lead to good way to end the day....

Rule #1 in life keep 'em happy....

Back again tonight now they are $9.90 schnittys, add the sauces, "free" salad/vege bar, 1 x WED, 1 x glass of the house wine and $32.70 later, thank your mother for the rabbits.

As I said before not the best schnitty I've had (nods to the Coopers Ale House) but for the price still a solid 6/10.

Sans kids this week so..... [-o<

Her though probably.... [-(
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

After a reasonably "high class" restaurant for dinner tomorrow night .. any thoughts? No specification on cuisine or location (but hopefully 30 minutes from the city)
I love 'Food and Stuff'. It's where I buy all of my food. And most of my stuff.

Well, I"m north-east ... but would travel to somewhere else for the right place.

Better than a pub.

Blackwood on Rundle St. Not cheap, but bloody nice food.
Otherwise Cliché on O'Connell St. French/Thai cuisine. Very nice.

I know Wedgie rates the Mawson Lakes Hotel. ;)

Not sure there's anything sufficiently sophisticated in that area, though. I'm a fan of the Apothecary, but you'll have to head into town.

The Bartons restaurant at The Caledonian
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!
