Unless there's more to it, imho thats piss weak from Eade .. 3 games to go, be professional and see out your time.

Always thought he was overrated anyway though.

I agree that it is unprofessional. If you've got the sulks so be it, but see the season out, surely?

Eade the longest serving coach to never win a flag?

Agree he was over-rated, but I think he was a shit choice for a club with a culture problem. Not sure he could relate to a bunch of young men heel-bent on partying over playing quality footy.

Good point, while the top knobs might have thought ruling with an iron fist was the way to straighten things up it might have been too much for the nicely tanned lads to handle. Too much change, too soon.

Yeah I disagree. Once it's over it's over. The players know he is gone, he knows he is gone, nothing good can come of him seeing out the end of the season. They may get a spike and finish the season with a win or two so I think it's the best result for both parties

Of course they get a spike, they've just caused their coach to be sacked, it's almost a given they come out and lift but it's a false lift and one built on embarrassment not renewed form or increased ability.

So who will the AFL pick to coach them now?
Gil would have Roos on speed dial I'm sure he will give him a call or one of the other coaches from the boys club

This is going to be interesting. Whilst I still doubt the rumours, if Gold Coast poach Hinkley, Stuart Dew would be the favourite for the Port job

I try and picture what it might've been like to have a guy who is almost 60 years old giving a dressing down to an early 20-something Harley Bennell or K. Hunt for their indiscretions. It'd be like being told off by a loser step-dad that you didn't respect. "Yeah, like, whatever, grandpa. I'll be at training late, right, coz I got an afternoon appointment at the tattoo parlour at Broadbeach."

Yuck, still feel uneasy with him in the box.

Ditto, have been told that the guy can coach and luckily there is no one left from that era. He would have played against a couple of guys when he played at Hawthorn but that was it

And now Lynch put in cotton wool until next year by the Suns. Picked up a knock to the knee last week
