I'm quite partial to 84 point showdown wins myself.

I'm worried about you, you've been saying nice things about the crows ever since you started working at Adelaide Oval.

Lever sprouting the same generic answers on 5AA again...i think the AFL world is ready for players to actually make the announcement during the season. Man up Jake.

If he was to say that he is leaving there would be backlash. He would be targeted by fans and media alike and it would not end well for anyone. I don't think we are ready for mid season announcements of player departures. Imagine if Lever said he is going to Essendon next year and then puts in a stinker this week?

Will Jake hand the script to McGovern?

I dont want the AFL to become like the NRL and players say they are leaving at end of season in April/May.. Its a shocking look for the game, and im sure the AFL dont want that creeping into the game either..

From my understanding Lever is genuinely torn with his decision, and is taking his time in making the correct one, as it will have a large impact on the next phase of his life, more than understandable. I hope he stays, but if he goes, then life will go on. We couldnt recover from losing Dangerfield either apparently... McGovern on the other hand, would be mad to turn down the reported figures to go home, absolutely mad..

Charlie Cameron - well if he wants to go to a mediocre side, in a debacle of a footballing state, to play in front of 12,000 people each week, most who dont give a sh!t about the game, then so be it

Why on earth would you want to leave the AFC at the moment? Unless there was a deep familial type situation.

Chances of flags, new oval, seemingly good bunch of lads, cheap city to live in ... crazy!

Correct. Mrs and his parents want him home to Vic. He wants to stay in Adelaide

But like you said, we all know the script in this situation
