Well that was unexpected. After WWT kicked 4 goals in the opening 8 minutes with the breeze, South responded with 21 of the next 25 goals to win by 83 points. The second term in particular was superb.

A case of 'all played well'. Enjoyed the attacking mindset, which had been missing for the past 3 months. :? Even managed to win the free-kick count

Special mention to Bryce Damin who played his first league game since Round 3, 2013. Refreshing to see such perseverance/resilience in the current climate. Did some nice things and kicked a goal in the third term.

Gives South a sniff of finals, although the Bays' remaining draw is favorable.

Nah
North have the incentive next week, coz that will get them off the bottom.
Then Westies will have the incentive in the following week to get off the bottom.
All South have to do is keep winning........hmmm

Scott, How many time have South kicked 10 goals+ in a quarter in the last 5 years?

There wasn't a Panthers supporter that came today thinking of an 10 goal plus win

Lets hope they still have some of it for Unley next Saturday.
I wish my remembering was as good as my forgetting

Top performance today, attacked Norwood early and didn't take the foot off the pedal. Importantly we nullified Baulderstone in the middle and around the ground which hurt Norwood, both Jack Hannath and Darcy Fort played beauties. Was great to see us getting the ball and using the first option and being clean with our disposal. No passengers today. Only downer was Izzy going down, had a quick word to him after the game and he said he would need a knee reconstruction. He was playing well up to that point, hope rehab goes well for the lad and he's back at his best soon. That game style will win us more games of footy, please let us continue it for the rest of the season.

Sounds like our boys had a crack today effort wise but Sturts class won out.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Lets hope they still have some of it for Unley next Saturday.

It's our first 10-goal quarter since kicking 13.4 in the third quarter against Sturt at Unley in Round 20, 2006.

10.6 is our highest-scoring quarter at Noarlunga since piling on 12.1 against Port in Round 12, 2006.

Extremely surprising and pleasing to see the scoreline. Unfortunately missed today's game as I was at Norwood for other reasons, and didn't think I was missing too much when I saw my first score update and we were down 0-25. Next time I looked we were up 67-33.

Looking forward to watching the replay on the digital pass now!

Scoreline flattered the bays in the end. From about half time onwards it was all Sturt but just by how much? Couple of late goals to you guys brought it back a bit.

First qtr was tight tough battle though.

Crowds:

South v Eagles 1,438.

Sturt v Glenelg 2,092: it seemed a lot more than that.

I know we're capable of better than we showed yesterday, but have to say I was seriously impressed with the Dogs. Committed, hard at the ball and body, looked every bit a team on a mission.

Thought we were a big chance of getting rolled ($4 about the Dogs was very generous), but didn't expect to get dominated like that.

No - they blame themselves. They then go about trying to fix their shortcomings themselves. As one club. Not without anyone else's help.
