Wouldn't surprise me. If he's sore he won't play.

There was some interesting discussion on 360 about this game with dal santo and Gibson. They were basically saying that both teams, but the crows in particular, won't be going all out to win.

Obviously they will still be trying, they weren't taking about players going half pace, but tactically you may not show all your cards. if you have a trick up your sleeve - like Sloane to half back or full forward to shake a tag or something - there is no reason to do it in this game when we have already locked up a top two spot and are very likely to play the swans at some stage in the finals.

Certainly throws up a few interesting scenarios

I tend to agree. You might find over the next 2 games Greenwood, Cameron etc playing more midfield minutes and Sloane etc forward more.
Tex might play closer to goal and Jenkins up the ground more.
Sydney have a lot more to play for tonight then the Crows do so i expect the Swans to come up firing! Still think we can/will win.

Why flirt with form...teach players to switch off and they will during finals.

I reckon he's due for a rest

Did you read what I said? It's not about telling players to switch off but about coaching box tactics that you may be willing to hold back.

Jenkins was on Melbourne radio a few weeks ago saying he & some other players limped into the last few weeks & the finals when in hindsight they should have been rested for a game. Hopefully we've learnt from that & they make the right call on Sloane.

No risks though regardless. He was always touch and go this week to play.

So if the swans win it is going to be because players are rested and the coach is holding all his cards to his chest?

Sounds fair to me :)

They were talking about it in the context of both Sydney and adelaide, but noted Sydney don't have the luxury of already sewing up a top four spot

I would have thought Adelaide would be busting their guts to win and thus avoid the possibility of playing and losing to them in the first final losing the opportunity of a home prelim. I'm sure they would much prefer to be playing Richmond in first week of finals.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

I don't think even the most optimistic Crows supporter can believe that anymore
He's pulled all media commitments now. Gone.

So its pretty much that if a player hasnt signed by this stage of the season they are gone. Does that mean Rockliff is on his way out of Brisbane?

Throw in Martin, Kelly ect. Seeing a change in things this year and people are waiting until the end of the year to commit.
