Reserves Full Time
Port 25.14 (164)
Norwood 3.6 (24)

A late goal by Norwood meant the margin didn't truly reflect the game.

Tom Gray kicked 5.3 and a lazy seven goal assists.

Sounds like a bobby dazzler of a match at Woody Oval, 1.3 (9) apiece at quarter time. Good to see they got some scoring in before the rain comes.

Power Twos 13 points over the Leadlegs at quarter time.

Hopefully Baynelg does the job against the Bluddentars next week and keeps the Chooks off the bottom.

I thought the Rooster contingent was noticeably low yesterday. North usually has a large turnout at the Bay, the supporter balance on Snout's Hill is often 50:50 and the red and white on the outer side is prominent. Not so yesterday.

I wouldn't relinquish your grip on the spoon just yet. I don't know who is going to be the winner at Richmond next week, but it sure won't be football.

Is the coach still there Jim? I heard he was needed at a Crows team viewing of the Swans loss.

I'll be honest I was there I thought I would be going home early
Eagles were Crap to start with Crows were 7 goals up
Eagles were one man down in Paul Stewart
I have no idea what was going on with the sound system that's a worry
Eagles run out in the third and the Eagles song plays
Suddenly the Eagles stopped playing the slow boring Crows game and started playing
Eagles footy hitting eagles players
From 1 goal to be in front and Crows came back
Eagles didn't stop
Honestly they were playing like against south then a switch went on

Sorry Jim took over your post

A credit to your organisational skills Phil, a terrific effort and heaps of kids and parents had a fun day.
Having been away the past month and hearing second hand of the dismal efforts against Norwood & South, I didn't approach today's game with much confidence against a strong Crows outfit. 7 goals to 1 half way through the third quarter was well and truly bearing that fear out. About the 20 minute mark though, the game started to turn through a lift in intensity from the Eagles. Although a win was still unlikely at 3/4 time, you could tell that the players had a real belief they could win at the huddle and proceeded to play in a dominating fashion winning all the 50/50 contests and putting immense pressure on the Crows. Boyd had an excellent 2nd half as did Johansen but Petrenko, Lewis and Goldy were good all day. Stewart hand injury a worry and Allmond also doubtful next week. No run for Borholm, could be underdone for the finals.

No need to hang around for the whole game, it looked like the PoSAs players got their weekend practice session completed by half time.
