This reeks of an after thought...as in "f..k we forgot about this guy...better kill him off"

He was more prominent in the books, albeit they guarded his identity.

Really pains me to say but I think GoT has jumped the shark this season.

They had to try and tie it up a bit but it is just so damn rushed. Could have been two full seasons of content just in these last 6 eps

I think he just wanted to say "jumped the shark" when he actually meant it has not been realistic at all (even for a GoT storyline)

Firstly Reek survives jumping ship into the wild seas, then Jaime can hold his breath underwater for 1km or so, and now Jon can survive barely defrosted water...they must have one hell of a 'State Swim' program in Westeros.

Not so upset at lack of realism, cool with the magic and supernatural stuff.
It just seems all the intrigue and clever dialog has been replaced with CGI and cheap plot devices eg. the reappearance of Benjen in the nick of time.
Too much to cram into too few episodes I suppose.

If the Whytes can't swim how did they attach the chains to the dragon?

I imagine they're still alive at the bottom of the lake. Squirming and struggling for all of eternity - or until their maker cops a bitta dragon glass to the face.

Not hard to imagine the NK could order a few to their watery purgatory to tie the chains on. He made them jump off cliffs and stuff before.

Ripper finale, will be an awkward conversation when the truth comes out.

That was a uniting moment, in more ways than one.
All the men in the world wanted to be him.
All the women in the world wanted to be her.
Everyone in the world was sickened by what that actually meant.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.
