Where can we see the first 12 rounds of voting?

MFC website says Chairman. Probably the same thing under their constitution. Regardless, at what point does the league question the integrity of some of the voting by club umpires. I know the Le Grand business became a running joke but you can't tell me he was a worthy winner every year yet an "untouchable" club was never pulled into line about it.

Is anybody really surprised by this? One year I filled in as a field umpire, my side belted Glenunga and their umpire just said put your 3 and 1 and I will vote for a 2 for one of his blokes haha.

Im surprised M Bedgegood didnt atleast poll 10? Now thats what I call rigged!

Totally agree, however when your team is as old and poor as the Modbury C6 team was this year, then it would not be hard to stand out and be noticed and he is a reasonable player, and you can guarantee most club umpires like to pick at least one from each team in their votes. Don't forget there is 2 umpires doing the votes, not just the Modbury one, maybe the other needs to speak up if he doesn't agree.

I didnt see any of our E grade games this year so cant comment on the performance of said player but was as shocked by that outcome as everyone else.. no idea who umpires them either. I feel for anyone that played C6 and were regularly named best player for their side and trained there arse off.

My only concern about him winning the C6 medal under unusual circumstances is that it will take the limelight away from Locky Roberts who won C1 (absolute star left footer with dreadlocks) and Benny Eisner who won C4 (Small forward/ midfielder that finds alot of ball and kicks some incredible goals). Both those blokes are excellent footballers and arguably too good for the grade they played this year, but deserved winners none the less.. Hopefully no one thinks there was any set agenda from Modbury to clean sweep the medals in our C grade sides.

1. Tell him to give the medal back. :D
2. Have you got contact numbers for Roberts & Eisner? ;)
3. Doubt anyone thinks there was a set agenda.
4. How about those numbers for Roberts & Eisner? 8)

Sadly this may kill off the Wes LeGrand jokes. At least when Wed was winning them his team was coming top

It had a good run, in fairness though, JT still needs to win six more to even be considered taking over that reign.

Do you think this is a result of (club) umpires not going through due process after matches, and just leaving the votes/paperwork to the Modbury umpire? I mean when you see teams lose and the losing side gets all votes, or gets 2/3 preferences surely you'd think the winning sides umpire hasn't given input to the discussion?

Maybe this is a "sucked in" to club umpires for being lazy pricks.

Agreed Zartan, very easy to not have the paperwork ready straight after the game as the home umpire, take the votes from the away umpire, let him go home then later on once you've got your paperwork sorted, just fill out whatever you want. It's actually quite common in the lower grades.
