Its not nitpicking when a player gets 1 vote when he was clearly BoG or a player not getting votes when he perhaps deserved to. It's actually fundamental and obvious errors.

I don't blame the umps. Their job is hard enough. To be expected to accurately adjudicate the worthiness of individual players games is far too onerous.

In my mind, the best placed people involved in the game at our level who have the buy in, knowledge, vantage point and time to make a fair call are the coaches.

If i was an umpire (god help us ) i would note my best players at 1/2 time from each team and then do the same for the second half. I would also use guernsey numbers, not names.
But in saying that. i am sure that not too many umpires below div 4 could think that logically.
You will find not so many discrepancies in the higher grades as you get better umpires. Simple, get out of the lower divisions......

Noticed that last night, but think they just stuffed the leaderboard up.. Meggsy is on 17 votes heading into Rd 18, Rowson on 15.. Rowson gets the 3 votes vs TTG to go to 18, Meggsy doesn't poll a vote.

They adjusted the leaderboard votes to 18, but didn't change the name.

From Memory I reckon Matty Trav missed the first 3 games and got injured in round 16 missing 17 and 18 as well, on the back of missing the PAC bye in round 13 and missing a half against Pines.

Fair effort to be runner up.

No it's not, he's a jet and way to good for D7, I'd expect him to poll well in this division.

Congratulations Para Hills for making it to D6! Where you should have been anyway. :P

The two best teams have deservedly made it. Any ideas on where it will be? Might pack my red, black and white pom poms and sit with the Roo's cheer squad.

If my missus messaged me that it would be the last message she sent me. Not really in regards to you Zarty lad and you do you but it always amazes me what people put up with in their relationships.

I reckons it's a modern day thing too. For **** sake back in the day people went to war for bloody years with nary a sweet love letter in between and dealt with it.

These days people aren't allowed to simply socialise without sending constant updates with GPS tracking for fear of reprisal.
