I heard that tonight. Heard they played an unregistered player.

Something to do with permits as highlighted by the CEO's weekly update below.

Type 2 Permits - Ongoing

As previously advised, There has been investigation into the use of Type 2 Permits without approval at any level across the state to which we have particpated.

In short, The Unley Mercedes Jets Football Club processed a permit for a player who had no right to assume eligibility within the SANFLCF guidelines.

Consistent with what would be considered a standard response, The UMJFC has subsequently been stripped of the Premiership Points and Score from its match in which the player represented them vs the Old Ignatians Football Club. OIFC have subsequently been awarded the match and score for.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

No surprise really. Jimmy Allen obviously a great player, but think he put a lot of the players offside, the way he talked to them was pretty disgraceful at times.

Impressions of Henley was they were really even across the board so not sure who the standout for them would be maybe Geddes. Thinking might be some possibles from Athelstone maybe Sheedy or Allen. Often winner comes from the top couple of sides.

Not sure if correct or not but looking at the League scores, Henley kicked the 1st 8 goals of the game against Athelstone and then duly lost,

Big upset if thats the case

I'm not totally surprised by that result. Despite them losing 1 game for the year, I didn't think they were as dominant as their record suggested.

On the even bigger oval of Thebby, I think Henley will find it harder against the raggies again (assuming they go through Phos next week).

Allen created mayhem amongst a few clubs to get this job and then walks because it didnt go as planned. Hes been running around slamming the Kings. Surely he knew what they were when he was happy taking money off them last year. Tip rat

Huge result. Anyone think PHOS could get the job done over the Sharks this week? Huge choke and waste of a year for the HFC if they go down.

Isn't Luke Trenorden moving on? If so, there is one they have to replace.

Athelstone would've been the team they fear the most.

Don't reckon PHOS will get up, but the margin will be closer than their results in the minor round.

Well said Old Red. Of course none of that is true but that's not important. The great thing about this forum is that people like you - irrelevant in their own lives - get to jump on here, say what they want and feel important. Great stuff.
