... and for what it's worth, I manned a gate last year to help out. All the families, kids and parents were absolutely fine with chipping in - not one complaint from them.

The only ones that said anything were typically - old, crusty, tired and has-been football dudes.

It's the only time you will have to pay to watch AdFL footy. It's the one time. Once. Singular. 1. Uno. Ichi. You're helping to pay for the entirety of the year, not just for the one game - hence it's a bit more expensive that the standard dictates compared to other comps that have gate revenue throughout the year.

Nah, the truly ingenious thing is to sneak in through the new playground that doesn't have a fence around it, then get the pass out, flog it off, and repeat.

Over a 6 hour day you should be able to get a good amount of beer money in your pocket.
