Elizabeth players had given up the chase, from what i can see was a 3v2 inside 50.. could've had a bounce, strolled in and had a shot or hit up #29..

Choked hard :Hangman: :Hangman:

Is that because they had it so easy during the year that their decision making when under some sort of pressure was challenged they went to water?

My opinion of that last minute hasn't changed - very soft effort from the fullback.

Just watched the effort, boy o boy, game on the line to win a GF and you put in that type of effort. If i coached him a lot of questions would have been asked.

Fraser Porteous yellow card on the 3/4 time siren was silly too. Maybe the yellow was harsh, but was just stupid on his behalf.

Having said that, Kurtis Shaw seems to be a smart arse little shit that enjoys getting under peoples skin.. his arrogance in the prelim final showing one of my players the ball as he ran away with it still shits me to tears..

Greenacres - Paul Niven

Nivo has categorically claimed this is inaccurate and he will not be coaching at Greenies in 2018 and has asked me to clear his name lol.

Now if this was the AFL that would almost certainly mean it's true

I believe Head Office has offered him 8 games and if he wants to contest it 'be prepared for more'
PS: I also believe he hasn't been to the tribunal as he went overseas pretty much straight after the G/F

I seem to remember an email to the effect that no-shows at the Tribunal following the Grand Final would result in some pretty hefty punishments to the club/player.

Yeah why wouldn't he? It could've been worse, he could've hit him with a shovel.

In my opinion I think the fullback misread the ball flight and the Elizabeth bloke was in the right place at the right time and wanted to win the game more. Pulteney lost the match once number 17 got red carded. The momentum shifted as up until that stage Elizabeth weren't able to get the ball inside their own forward 50 and the blues had 5-6 scoring chances which all missed the middle sticks. Id also question why the Pulteney's ruck men were trying to hit the ball into space with only 2 minutes to go should be aiming to keep it in close but instead the eagles were licking their lips as they mopped up the loose ball.
