I was at the game and I thought circa 30k.
Almost 40k sounds high given the whole southern stand was closed.

Either way a good crowd and a good game of footy.
Port almost pinched it but Sturt deserved the win as they were the better side all day.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Saw the last 5 minutes and the SANFL are definitely fudging the books. No way was there only 14k more there on Friday night.
Was massive gaps everywhere.

Another **** head comment. Yeah it was just an act after training and playing all year that was their first thought when the siren went

The Port Magpies players that cared about winning were in Sturt guernseys. They now have 2 flags and 2 Magareys.
Nearly 20 years since the last Magpies flag, how tragic

21 players who didn't care about winning sure disguised it pretty well, Tomic & Kyriagos could learn a thing or two

I'm 47. I've been to 4 or 5 grand finals dating back to 1998 and been a supporter of Sturt since about '75. My lad, who's 8 has been to three games, two that he can remember, the 2016 GF and the 2017 GF. We think he might be the omen!

The Adelaide Oval has a total capacity of 53,500. On the Northern Mound there is seating for 3,000 and standing room for 3,500. The Western Stand has a capacity of 14,000 seats, the Riverbank Stand has 14,000 seats and the Eastern Stand has 19,000.

From my observation boundary riding for Triple MMM and looking around when on the oval at breaks

Northern Mound almost full ................................................................. 6000 out of 6500
Eastern Stand 1st level full, 2nd level 80%, top tier 90% .............. 17,500 out of 19,000
Western Stand 1st level full, 2nd level full, top tier 75% .............. 11,500 out of 14,000
Riverbank Stand - lower level full, 2nd level 90%, top tier empty .. 5,000 out of 14,000
TOTAL ........................................................................................... 40,000 .out of 53,500

Ie I think the figure was pretty much spot on.

Funny thing, I heard the same thing from a Centrals supporter about 10 years ago, except he was 41 and the 8 year old was his Grandson

Not sure about out-coached but Sturt have the best system/game plan of the the non-AFL clubs. They are well drilled. Their players know what works for them and stick to it.

Eddy, well, he likes it on his terms. Enjoy Carlunga next year Brett.

He's ******* heartless. Does not belong at Alberton.

Eddy cant wait to come back to South and play for a real club.

He can dissappear back to Shitsville as far as I'm concerned.

Where's that venom come from? Ken Farmer medallist and one of the main reasons you got to the GF surely?

He's pathetic. Showed why he's been over looked at the top level, only works when it works for him.

The only person acting pathetic is you mate. Stop sooking and pick your dummy up.
