It is what it is. There's a reasonable amount of satisfaction that they continue on to play Footy at senior level. Ultimately that's the first thing junior footy is trying to achieve

A sad state of affairs, PNU a great club, puts all the time and effort into the junior development.
Private schools junior football programs are a joke, just like PAC, no home grown junior development in the first 18, all on scholarships as a result, have been for more than the last 5 years.
Most private school XIIIV are raided from the clubs that developed them, the power of the scholarship.
Good luck to the kids that get them, but screw the Old Col clubs....... chasing young boys for there own interests.....and not always to play football :butthead:  ........in true private boys school tradition.

ROCS deserved the win and out played PNU all day and were great to watch, really high quality football, well done to all involved.

Yes and if the league clubs are smart they will raid players from both of these teams!

I'd honestly be amazed if any more than 1-2 of the PNU blokes would be interested in playing League Footy at this point in their lives.

I thought it was a pretty good game, especially in the breeze. ROCs seemed to be everything; big, fast strong and moved the footy quickly and effectively. They set a highly impressive standard for amateur footy.
PNU appeared younger and smaller and likely to improve with time. Some murmurings from the PNU faithful that Macca wasn't flexible enough, but from what I saw ROCs had them covered in most areas of the game anyway.

More money where they are for less training and commitment, always great skills and some pretty decent hard footy played at this level. some games i have witnessed over the years have put certain SANFL games to shame.

I think the bottom placed side (North) would beat ROCS fairly easily. Think there is a massive gap, it might be closing but its still a big gap. A lot of div 1 sides are made up of blokes who didnt make it at sanfl level with a handful who did make it at SANFL or even AFL in some cases.

Id agree
Better question is where would ROCS have sat on the SANFL Reserves table?
But, more importantly, could Goody Saints D1R knock off Glenunga :-k

Not saying they could beat a SANFL side just saying the footy is better, as for beating North i would give them a fair chance ;)

Agreed. They would get stuck in reserves anyway which is basically an U21s comp with no atmosphere, other than a few that rock up to see the last qtr before the League.
And that.

Good to see two Tea Tree Gully juniors at the big dance at the MCG tomorrow. Best of luck to Luke Brown and Jack Graham. One will end up with a premiership medallion.
