He ain't worth anything near that IMO, too inconsistent

When Vickery is worth 500k everyone's worth 800k.

Don't you mean when Lobbe is worth $500k ;)

Cmon mate Vickery is like Ben Cavuto back in our day, atleast Lobbe is being kept out by an AA

Mate that was 20 years ago........ you've lost plenty of things in that time but not your memory ;)
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Spot on. Our skills need a major tune up before next season.

Thats our *gameplan*. Not skills.

Kicking to the pockets does two things:

1. Increases the chances of the ball going out of bounds and the throw in puts the ball back into a dangerous spot, with an advantage in the ruck and a bunch of small forwards, this is seen as ideal.

2. If the opposition get the ball, the other side of the ground is closed out, preventing quick rebounds. If the ball is in the pocket it is much more difficult to switch. This means our defensive zone can be more compact and we can hem them in for repeat entries.

This was developed by Chocco and Lade when we had a dominant S.Burgoyne.

It has its flaws though, as obviously snap kicks from packs are more difficult to get accurate and when we do take a mark it's on an angle, meaning the set shots on goal are more difficult too.

Attacking to the pockets was a big part of Bassett's system when in charge at Norwood for (particularly) reason #2.

Still need to hit targets regardless of where you're kicking to, that has nothing to do with game plan more so skills

The target is the pocket to a contest. We hit that with absolute accurate monotony.

I kind of feel for AFL blokes, I reckon it would be a real 50/50 split between player being an arrongant prick and no head agitating member of the public who deserves a punch in the head

Crows : surely no one can have a worse performance this weekend than us?

Ryder: Hold my drink.

I love the way the experts on here are hamming him before hearing all the facts.

There is far more to this story involving his younger brother and cousin. By all reports by a bloke who was actually there to witness it says 'Ryder pushed a cop out the way to stop a bloke who was laying in to his brother' yep, no of us would do that would we? And he said the push was nothing, absolutely nothing.

Apparently it all started by blokes ripping in to Ryder about being the AA ruckman and not Jacobs at which stage his brother and Cousin got in to verbal's and it went from there.

But unfortunately in this day and age especially on grand final night AFL players simply must exclude themselves from this scenario. It's almost par for the course unfortunately.

If the cops are on the scene let them sort it out.....that's what they're paid to do. You simply do not touch them much like the umpire unless the context is well and truly in the correct manner.

If someone was laying into my brother I wouldn't care if Queen Elizabeth was in the way, I'd be giving him a hand.

Probably wise to let the details emerge, rather than pontificating.

Let's face it, he'll get off even if he did do anything sinister, such is the life of being an AFL footballer.
