Don't think they will be ready. 2019 is the goal in mind.

Can confirm that Adelaide High Old Scholars will look to make a nomination for a team in 2019. I believe a meeting with the school will be taking place either this week or next week in hopes to work together and make this happen. All Adelaide High students/old scholars are encouraged to be in contact and throw their support behind the move.

I honestly have no idea. He contacted me at the start of the week so I'm guessing he still is in the job?

Why is this HBF? What's been said or what have you heard?

Got a text last night saying he'd been told he's no longer required. I hope not mate, I like and rate G and he did a great job this year. Thought he deserved another year at least

Tell me HBF, what do you rate about him? Have you played under him - or just coached against him and his very capable squad?

Did well this year? Hmm yes.. but some might argue with the list he had, he didn't do well enough.. let's be serious, most coaches would've taken that group as far as they did - good coaches a step further.

This waft of "liking" a coach is stupid - he's not there to be likeable to an opposition coach, who cares if you like him.. and "rating" a coach who you have only seen 2/3 times a year on game day is outrageous.

Only people who should make comments about liking and rating are the players who directly operate under a coach at training and game day.

p.s. While on coaches, have you recommitted to Mitchell Park for 2018?

Or was the text message from a Para Hills person courting you for the A grade gig...? ;)

I have coached against him whilst he was at Fitzroy and Para Hills. The guy does know his football, from my perspective. He is a good bloke also. I know what its like to be shafted Bedge, I just feel for him.

And no Bedge, I wouldn't be heading back to Para hills mate ;)

OB chipped into Trav's fund this year, a large amount too. Anyone that does that without need of recognition or reward is a good bloke IMO.

Yeah they had a good list talent wise, but had some pretty large egos to manage too. Wouldn't of been easy. Still got his club promoted and were thereabouts on Grand Final day.

Very harsh, if true, to sack a bloke after all of that.

Ah Divvy 7. It's good to be back here again. Gonna be a ripper 2018. Look forward with great anticipation to some good hitouts. Bring on the rivalries.

Alright i'll be ruthless and tell you what i've heard around the place from several sources (one of the upsides to being a local, you run into a lot of people).

He had a VERY good list for D7 - let's keep that in mind D7. Matt Travis, Shane Hanson, Paul Cree, Lynton Power, Dave Minshaw, Jason Nuske and to a lesser extent Scott Bamford, Shaun Holland, Sean Buss, Jye Bailey and Win Thach - these guys are some seriously talented footballers.. a lot of these guys have had success in better levels than D7 - and not too long ago, hell you harped on for most the year about it being half their D5 premiership side.

What's the gap between D5-D7?

Now, with that list, i'm led to believe it became the club AND the playing groups expectations that they achieve nothing less than a flag.

Along the way, his lack of game plan, training structure, game day methodology left the playing group un-enthused, disenchanted and lacking motivation.
Very few of the players viewed his coaching ability in a positive light.

In fact, several players were surprised he wasn't let go mid season.

He might be the best bloke going around, I wont argue that, but don't tell me that being a good bloke should guarantee you tenure and don't be blinded by the fact that they gained promotion in DIVISION 7 - they were always going to stroll through this division, regardless who was at the helm -
Hanson & Co win games off their own boot. Simple.

So the question the club should be asking is not so much how he performed this year, but if he's the right guy to lead them forward into D6 next year.

Out of respect for you and what you were able to achieve at Ingle Farm, i'll let this slide through to the keeper.. ;)

answer the other part of the question..

Grapevine says it's true regarding the Para Hills coaching job and they are throwing the sink at Chad Bourke and Shaun Holland to coach. Bourke to play and Holland the whiteboard with Bamford footy director but Bourke and Holland are filthy with the way OB was treated as they both have a connection with OB. Be interesting to see what happens be great for Para Hills if this was to happen but highly doubt them 2 egos could work together. Big $$$ is what I'm hearing for these 2.

If Bourke goes, you can almost guarantee the Glenunga connection will follow suit..
