What’s he gonna say? Yeah I think he wants out, dunno.

Give him a break mate........ he just went missing big time in the biggest game of his career.

Great delight, understatement.

My own side? Trengove, Ah Chee, Impey, Young on the way out, Krakouer, Monfries retired, Rockliff, Motlop on the way in. I'm across it.

Bit surprised Boon is giving the crows so much after he gave me a telling me off for a comment in regard to port losing.

I suppose when your team is not good enough you need to wallow in other teams disappointment

Especially those that are so incapable of even making finals

Best of luck, Jacko. Will be remembered fondly for his commitment to the club, at a time when we were at absolute rock bottom. 6 years later and he is driven out of the club by doing the selfless thing and fulfilling a huge hole for us in 2016, then overtaken for a defenders spot by young blokes with better foot skills.

 ya, Jacko.

I swear i'll punch any imbecile Port fan who dares boo him when we play the dogs next year.

Given what he did for Port when the chips were down, he didn't deserve what happened to him this season.
An unfortunate reflection on the modern-day game that he has to move on and finish his career elsewhere.

Finishing second to bottom or second to top = No premiership cup.

Wholeheartedly agree.

When he signed on ( along with Boak ) in 2011 ( and shared the BnF with Boak ) it was a glimmer of hope for Port Adelaide fans. He, and Boak, could have easily attracted significant offers to return home to Victoria at the time, both stood firm. All Port fans will be forever grateful for this. Not only did it signal that the next generation of players were willing to do the hard yards it also showed the next group to sign on that walking away would have been the easy thing to do.

His importance to us in the defensive unit of '13 and '14 shouldn't be underestimated. Late in '14 he rolled and ankle and missed 5 games, we lost 4 of them and dropped from top spot. We were 11 and 2, the two losses to North (7 points) and Sydney (4). Trengove gets hurt and we go from 11/2 to 12/7 and dropped out the top 4. People who underestimate him forget the influence he had on that side that year.

Roll forward to 2016 and with Ryder sidelined, Lobbe out of form and then injured the bloke carried us, literally carried us on his own back. Sure, we missed the finals, but at 10/12 with a make shift ruckman that bloke was enormous that year. I reckon he would have slept all summer.

While he's doing that Howard early, Austin and then Clurey all cemented themselves ahead of him in the back half, all of them just defenders (as is Trengove) and despite this Hinkley persisted with him as a key forward this year and ultimately it was to Trengove's detriment.

Certainly feel for him, I can see why he's had players move ahead of him and don't particularly like the circumstances for his departure.

Cheers, Jacko.
