Meh round for me. 17 points, hot and cold for 7 holes, a highlight was a chip in bird on the 8th, low-light was a lost ball on the 9th for the only scrub of the round. A ball for my trouble though

Playing Blackwood Sunday morning. Anyone played it lately?
Wondering how it held up through winter.

Played it at end of July. However the weather was horrible that particular day.
The course itself was in ok condition. The fairways werent chopped up with divots or anything.

All you blokes playing golf & enjoying yourselves makes me :YMSICK:

My round at Growling Frog got canned last Sunday. The bloke organizing it pulled the pin. Mind you I was a little umm "dusty" following the GF (beer for every Tiggies goal) so I ended up shanking a bucket of balls at the local driving range.... Races Saturday does not bode well for a round this Sunday, (beer for every length Winx wins by?) but I better find a semblance of form before an upcoming corporate day in a few weeks. Apparently our main competitor turns up every year, with a few lads who are good on the lip. My blokes are pinning their hopes on me..... little do they know, I only play for the beers & the lols!

Wouldve been better stuck in Pt Lincoln.

91 off the stick.
Mixed bag really. The wedge play let me down this week.
Putting was fair. Still getting used to the adjustment. The putter is getting cut down and a new grip put on....hopefully that helps....lol

Blackwood this morning, 7am tee off in perfect conditions. Haven’t played there for near on 12 years.
Course was is in excellent nick, greens were like glass IMO. Group of locals in front of us however said they were slow today
I’ve changed my grip & set up on the tee slightly which I’m still getting used to, back 9 was much more consistent.
Whilst 30 points isn’t setting the world on fire, I was happy with my ball striking & know improvement is coming.
Fly out Friday to the Mornington Peninsula with 11 other blokes for 3 rounds. If I can prioritise golf over beer I’m a chance of skinning them for some coin ;)
