Big call, but it looks like he'll go alright.

Was asking a question not making a call FC. Anyway a good start for NEK in Para.

All good, I was answering your question.

I'd have loved to have seen Baldo senior in his prime, but Tyler could be just as good, if not a shade better. What works in his favour is he is a much more balanced batsman, whereas Andrew (not to discredit the bloke; I love him to death) is more of a basher.

Apparently Central United were pretty happy with how they were travelling, expected to pass the total and send EP back into bat pretty quickly. So a little birdy tells me.

I think your little birdy may have been on something, I'm pretty sure the Units would have respect for the bowling line up that Eastern Park had to offer, although an unlikely assassin was the main destroyer.

I did hear the same actually.. that CU believed the EP attack to be weaker than previous seasons.

Undoubtably weaker with no Ray Ray and co, Williamson is always a handy bowler, Knappy and Rory aren't too shabby and Maurice seems to have the knack of picking up wickets.

Definitely not on something - not that kind of guy.
And not someone who makes stuff up.

To be fair, most clubs would think they'd have that 137 covered, wouldn't they?

Who destroyed them.

Ian Williamson is far greater than handy, absolute super star.

With the right guidance and love for cricket could have, would have been the been best bowler in pdca in a few years time

tbh Knappy, Mozza and Rory are handy but hardly world beaters

I think this is more of a reflection on the CU batting line up which saw them get relegated last season

A couple of seasons ago with Atco we bowled them out for 90 with a very pedestrian div1 bowling attack

The CU batting lacks any real consistency

Kind of agree, no names that really strike fear into opposition sides. Woodward batting 4 is a testament to that, sure he's destructive when he's on, but he's still just a filthy slapper

Mate, love your enthusiasm but the Billiegoat bowling attack was far from Grade 1 standard.

I'm not sure who they have lost for the season but that was far from the best team they've put on the park in recent times.

I do expect big things from Craigmore this season, after getting a reprieval to stay in Grade 1 last season at the 11th hour they managed to make the finals and record some handy results along the way, more importantly they blooded some kids in the top grade.

They've recruited well and have one of the best young lads I've ever come across at the helm, they will have sustained success for as long as Dyl is there, he will attract other young lads out over the next few seasons too.

Their bowling attack lacked venom last season but looks stronger this season too.

Muckraker!

Heres how it went down.

Picton won the toss and sent them in with the overcast and very windy conditions hoping for a small target.

Was on target until some lusty slapping by Freeman and McIver carried them to a decent total in the conditions.

They bowled very well and we threw away wickets to bad balls. Picton only one who really stood up, shame none of us went with him!

With Williamson and Knapp on footy trip this week anything can happen on Saturday, game not over by a long shot.
