He’s a hard one to quantify because of that. Hasn’t shown as much as pick 2 would suggest but he still had a bunch of upside

Would've sounded better if they had 4 and 20.

Do it noooow

Lose a key defender and small forward and bring in a mid.

Roles, robots, structures mate!

Can cover Lever (Kelly) and Cameron (Milera) from within, need another quality midfielder

Could also use McGovern back there, I reckon his brother might of started as a forward.

If we recruit another midfielder then Douglas can play that Cameron role.
Still think Milera, Hampton, Greenwood, Gallucci still have another level to go to as well.
Dodee to get first crack at Levers role and wouldn't suprise me if we made a late bid for Francis.
We still need someone to cover Smith's role.

And done nothing to prove he is going to be a long term prospect, hence his value has diminished.

Just a query in general for Crows people. Where's Cam Ellis-Yeoman at.

I think it's a simple equation for Cam. If he's not in the 22 by end of the year, regularly, then it's curtains.
I have concerns about Gallucci. From the little I have seen of him, especially at AFL level, he does not look like he likes the hard stuff, even in the contest he seems to shirk it a little. Hope I'm wrong, but don't like the early signs.
Milera needs to get in the side early and hold his spot. Big year for him.
Hampton will probably cover Smith in 2018.
Greenwood should continue to improve, hopefully he can sort out what was bothering him in the 2nd half of the season (foot?)

Take top 5 draft picks from lowly clubs with a grain of salt. The likes of Brisbane, Melbourne even St Kilda have a history of cocking up top order draft picks. Recruiters don't get it right all the time.

So why would North want him then? ;)

Can't be too stubborn if they want him off the books and only 2 clubs interested

Unfortunately the top ‘kids’ taken in the draft sometimes don’t develop into good footballers. Can hardly blame the recruiters all the time- they generally take the best available at the time, and most people assume those kids will develop and flourish. So much pressure on the top 10 picked to perform otherwise they are labeled as ‘spuds’. Bit harsh on a 17yo considering footballers generally don’t reach their playing peak until about 24-26yo.
