Extremely favourable draw for the Bombers, plenty of night games & “blockbusters”. The AFL certainly want them playing finals again...

Guess we will wait and see, 2 games against the Premiers at the MCG, and 2 against Port who many are predicting top 4. 6 interstate trips which is fine. Got some pretty decent time slots as expected with the money we generate. Reckon we will finish in the 5th to 9th region, tough opening month could have us 0-5

They’ve given Collingwood every chance to be up and about too

Not really, they've got Collingwood playing against AFL sides and they don't fare too well against them of late.

Richmond good draw considering they won the flag - 17/22 games in Melbourne with "away" games at the MCG against Geelong and Essendon. I get that there is more VIC sides so its difficult to make them travel more but they should make these sides at least play at the actual home grounds of their opposition. Cats get screwed over all the time IMO.

This is an example of the chip-on-the-shoulder statement from an Adelaide supporter that I love. ;)

Why the **** are we still playing 'home' games at Etihad against clubs whose home ground is Etihad?!

AFL saw the $'s that Richmond made by being successful, so are giving Essendon, Collingwood and Carlton every leg up they can.

Wasn't it only 2-3 years ago Carlton had a heap of FNF and stunk it up, AFL said never again until they turn their performances around?

I thought this was humorous

The Brisbane Lions are the big losers out the 2018 #AFLFixture having to play teams that finished above them for the first 23 rounds...
July 11th 2012....

Thanks for that, struggle every year to print out a readable version but that was the 1st one I saw.
How good is Round 1? What a bastard it's the same weekend of the Grand Prix, accommodation through the roof, not the $650 a night some chap just quoted on 5aa but still pricey.
