Going to hit up the Port Admiral that reopened after some serious renovations after the last few years tonight.

Looking forward to seeing what they've done inside.

Went to the Maylands Hotel tonight
$28.90 for a cold $hit 300 gram rump steak
Came with a salad that included smashed cooked cherry tomatoes and strewn with beetroot
Got a special surprise when I found the core / base of the lettuce was included

Not impressed

Mate and his missus went for lunch yesterday and rated it fairly highly. Parking space down that way can be a bit of an issue these days, otherwise there's some great eating spots.

The Low and Slow lads are involved. The Admiral is on the corner of Commercial Road and St Vincent St, about 100m from Low and Slow which is right next to the Lighthouse.

Went down last night and pretty much parked ( as JK said, hard to find one but got one around in Divett Place ) walked around to there and the place was absolutely packed, over flowing, in fact. Wouldn't have been a spare seat outside let alone a table for 4 and the bar inside was about 2 - 3 deep in most places. I wanted to go in for a drink at least but the three I had in tow were too hungry apparently so we went to the Newmarket.

I went to the opening event on late Saturday arvo for a while, had a couple of their brews but had to leave cos me mate was too pissed. Didn't have any food. Beer garden was OK.

Hong Kee is also great just up Morphett St.
BBQ City on Gouger does good food, setting is the greatest but more than comfortable enough
