Looking forward to seeing what they've done inside.

$28.90 for a cold $hit 300 gram rump steak
Came with a salad that included smashed cooked cherry tomatoes and strewn with beetroot
Got a special surprise when I found the core / base of the lettuce was included
Not impressed

Surely you complained?
Fifteen years hospitality taught me unless you know the cook, don’t order a steak in a pub.

Nah, what’s the use. I just won’t go back - ever
F*** me, it’s not hard to do a steak and the salad was absolute shite
Three others had a Thai curry which was also crap. Who puts noodles in that?
And a pappadam with a Thai curry? Hello??? Any effing idea about Asian food?
The Robin Hood does both of these dishes well and cheaper

The Low and Slow lads are involved. The Admiral is on the corner of Commercial Road and St Vincent St, about 100m from Low and Slow which is right next to the Lighthouse.
Went down last night and pretty much parked ( as JK said, hard to find one but got one around in Divett Place ) walked around to there and the place was absolutely packed, over flowing, in fact. Wouldn't have been a spare seat outside let alone a table for 4 and the bar inside was about 2 - 3 deep in most places. I wanted to go in for a drink at least but the three I had in tow were too hungry apparently so we went to the Newmarket.
