Stroke round today- Monthly medal.

Finished with a net 74.

Talk about a round of what could've been. 89 off the stick including 19 on 2 holes, yep 19 on 2 holes!

3rd is a par 4- Hitting in to a super strong wind so I tried to be smart and play a low draw, it didn't work had to drop a shot as my ball was unplayable in the trees on the right, tried to over hit the next shot and yep sure enough straight in to the driving range. To cap it all off I 3 putted for a 10!

7th is a long straight par 5- what makes this 9 even worse is I nailed a perfect tee shot straight down the middle, 2nd OFB, 4th in to the trees finished with a 9 and very close to being in 'self harm mode'

Finished with handicap stableford points of 36.
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

81 off the stick at Stirling
45 and 36.
The first pic is a little par 4 - 4th i reckon.
Hit a nice drive and took a photo of the view to the green. Ended up with a 2 putt par.

The other is on the 17th par 3. Over hanging branches that were in the way with my draw shape. So I tried to get it up more than normal and from 151m that was the result....and no i didnt 2 putt for par....ImageImage

First round back since August, 38 points and left a lot out there...

Enjoyed it but was so humid, no breeze at all...

Didn't see any snakes but got stung by a bee on the 16th, little bastard, still made the par... Image

Picked up 2 balls for my birdie on 2 and another ball as a prize.

Played Blackwood yesterday morning. Ripper nick.

First game since late August. 37 points, no Scrubs, 3 birdies. Good was good, but had a few stinkers- Even had a fanny on the 2nd. Won the cash hole ($40!) and another NTP.

May have another 3 month spell if my first ups go like that.

Course staff polite, let us know we had to be off by 1 due to a charity afternoon. Even came over to us with 1 hole to go to let us know not to rush as we were making good time. Had a fair gallery watching us on the temp 8th (our last hole). My 2 group members both hit absolute shockers, much to their mirth. I then knocked a wedge to about 3 foot to amend the laughs! And holed the putt. Was pumped!!

A guy I work with has his son playing in the Aussie Open after just turning pro, pretty cool seeing his name on the leaderboard, was 1 under after the front 9 and has since stunk it up to be 5+ after 14.

Thaxted today after a big night and no brekky.
Par comp

The 2 lads in my group are walking to the 1st as I pull up. We got moved ahead apparently.
Rush in to pay up

What was gonna happen??? This could go anywhere...

3wood absolutely creamed it a handy 230m down the middle....ill take that....

Wasnt horrible golf but ended -4 after front 9.
But the back 9 was where it all started to come together.
Picked up a nice birdie on the 13th where the hybrid off the tee was a worm burner that did enough to clear the creek and rolled out nicely. 9 iron in from 120m and left it pin high for a beautiful 10ft putt...

Then on par 3 15th...got nearest to pin...

18th....decided to give the hybrid a belting....and it ended up under trees...gave the hybrid a chance to redeem itself....which it did. Ended up with a 40m chip to green.
Chip was ok but still left an 14ft putt.....which if it didnt go on the hole....was racing away off the green....

+4 on back 9 to finish all square

And I should add, the course is looking the best it ever has.
The fairways are coming along beautifully. Easily comparable with clubs like The Vines now.
The 3rd, i believe opens up this week which will be good.
I might be dead by the time I get to 3rd green on that walk up the hill for the 2nd and 3rd....
