What draft pick did he go at? I can't find it on the thread anymore. I think BP posted it and then it got edited or something?

Sounds like the Eagles getting a good taste of their own medicine!

Wundke, Ainger ring any bells ???

Yeah, all that junior development South put into Wundke and Ainger ...

Ok I’m replying to a comment made to me
If my reply to a south Fan complaining about Ainger and Wundke going to the eagles too bad.
Ainger retirement started end of 2016
If you can’t handle people talking like my reply go back and look at the south fans comment
If the south Fan is your buddy too bad
Of course you could ban me or the South fan who is moaning over players leaving that they bought for money to the their club .

must have happened a while ago, as i believe he got married in QLD over the week. Last time he wore red and white he won a premiership

That’s the strange thing he was announced as signing with the Eagles in October
Then signs with North in October

But end of the day shit happens
No good years later worrying over players that move on for another team .
I’ve seen the posts on here about Sturt and the Eagles both going after Eddy
No idea if it’s just someone looking for a bite
Just think if he goes to Sturt or the Eagles
South fans will complain for years of being raped by which team signs him

Eagles only have them self to blame! I know Jarred very well and when talking to him about this he was extremely disappointed that eagles wouldn't offer him more then a one year deal when it came to his contract talks. North Adelaide engaged and offered him a nice 3 year deal which will see him playing his 150th and 200th league game in the Red and White. At the end of the day you've gotta look after yourself and your future and that's what Jarred has done.

I wonder if that'll get you close to the number of former North juniors currently on AFL lists? Pre this draft that was the highest number by quite a bit!

Every club goes through it, I can recall Westies getting hammered by the draft a while back.

All 5 Sturt lads drafted don’t have to play for one of the 2 Adelaide clubs either which is an added bonus

Is there a breakdown of SANFL clubs and players in AFL? I know my club gets hit every year. Is it worth identifying and developing player for AFL clubs to take them for peanuts.

So just to recap Seccull, Gotch, Veide & Bass all gone.

Eddy not coming back.

Is Brooskby a chance to return?

Have Cross & Liddle re-signed?

If not who are we paying?

Not that I know of Goddy, that was my motivation for making a summary of the Sturt lads that have gone.

Looking at that list I am sort of feeling that the cup is half full rather than empty. There is only one player there that has played league for Sturt, and I think it was about 9 games. While I would prefer they all stayed , players of AFL standard WILL be drafted and that is the loss you wear.
When it hurts is when your league regulars, that you rely on to win games, suddenly get the call up to another club. Looking at that list Sturt's league premiership side was basically untouched.
Good luck to the lads. Thank God they are all going interstate. Wished they all went to Carlton if I had a choice.
