fairy 'nuff (pun intended )
Opinions are fine but there is no need to put something out there when it's a virtual cricket law that you should always play a spinner for a) variety and b) someone who can do the stock bowling and relieve the quicks.
I can't recall us winning a test match when we've haven't picked a specialist spinner (I'm sure we have but I can't recall it) but I can recall us losing tests (Perth Jan 2008) and failing to win tests (Perth 1989) when we've done the same.
The Pitch Pic that Booney put up was always going to change with more rolling and a shave.
Lyons been outstanding this year he had to play.

While I agree about Lyon having to play its a bit harsh mate especially the virtual law stuff
It was virtual law you batted slow at the start of a odi innings
It was a virtual law you picked a keeper based purely on his keeping ability
It was virtual law AO was a batters paradise
It was virtual law that in test cricket you don't step across to outside off and try and whip the ball through the leg side
Things change, times change nothing wrong with different opinions
West Indies proved you can dominate world cricket with 4 quicks if it's the best combination for you.
I think if ever there was a place to put out alternative thinking than a sports cricket forum is probably the exact place for it

Thoughts?

Supposedly Handscombe exchange with Bairstow today was also about it
Gonna be great to see two teams who seriously dislike one another rather than a lot of the love ins we get
