Emotional scenes as Warner punches Broad to deep extra cover for a 3 to take him to 63.

He looks skywards and appears to be choking back some emotions.

The Barmy Army acknowledged the moment too.

If Warner can hit the next 7 then finish with a 6 can still get the 100 :D

Adelaide should suit the England bowlers a bit better you'd think, so expect a closer game, but i'm just not sure the Poms have the batsman capable of winning this series. They have some handy sorts and good all rounders, but who apart from Root can you see hitting big 100's?

Yep it suits them but the Shield match showed how much it suits Starc and Cummins.

As I opined a week ago I reckon one of our quicks will be rested for Sayers.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

So they'll be patting each other on the back at the selectors dinner?

Marsh managed 51, Bancroft is averaging 87 at international level and Paine out-kept Wade.

Hazlewood for Sayers perhaps, not really necessary though, Usman would want to get amongst it down here.

I think we'll get a result in Adelaide, the team batting 2nd is definitely advantaged.

I thought you were right also, and people i'd spoken to closer to the scenes had said this was a high possibility - but given the Aussies quicks managed to keep the overs to less than 50 over the test match, perhaps they'll feel the load wasn't too great and will remain unchanged?

Does Khawaja come under some scrutiny? Could Marsh be bumped to 3 with Maxwell to 6?

To be fair one of my ducklings could out keep wade
