Think the Eagles had a bit of a war chest after losing 6 2016 grand final players and another two this year (Wundke and McGregor) basically only recruited Paul Stewart on big money, Johansen was only paid a minimal amount. The war chest was for the expected recruiting of Jimmy T. and possibly Cam E-Y. Now more room with Allmond gone.

No way, you'll have to 'fight' us for the spoon.

Welcome to my SANFL world, except I have to go back to a time when "All Together Now" and "Chances" were on prime-time telly and Glenn Ridge hosted "Sale of the Century" to reminisce about our last premiership. Jesus H Tap-dancing Christ, that's depressingly old.

And there it goes, the two things I dreaded most about the draft.
1: Losing a premiership player.
2: Losing a player to a local franchise.

All the best Patrick. Hope you get a regular gig in the seniors, it will really ******* hurt to have you play against us.

I heard on MMM that Sturt has actually contributed 7 to the draft? I have counted only 6 thus far.

Nick Holman is a massive out for us with our midfield
basically gone cant see how we can possibly be competitive
next season. We are struggling for money to recruit players
and after looking forward to 2018 on the back of the way we finished
this year a bottom 2 finish is likely UNLESS WE FIND PLAYERS.

EFFEN AFL! EFFEN ROOKIE DRAFT!!

What is the point of having good players?

Don't expect Troy Menzel to return probably go to Eagles or Norwood like every one else. When does cricket season start. That was a very early finish to season 2018.

Why do we bother? Now we know what the F stands for in AFL.

NO AFL IN THE SANFL.

That's another thing. How can a player who is 29 and played 205 AFL games in 11 seasons be classified as a ROOKIE?

Definition from Merriam-Websters

Definition of rookie. 1 : recruit; also : novice. 2 : a first-year participant in a major professional sport. :?
