Be rattled on the inside, remain calm on the outside. Smithy has much to learn in that aspect of his game.

Why can't he just be normal?

Great player, shit captain unfortunately

It's generational thing, Look at Root when he punched (tapped) the door coz of Stonemens disimissal

Look at Tex Walker when a player leaves his team

They have feelings and their allowed to show them, you can't stop them lol

Is this a piss take?Sayers robbed again

I wouldn't say robbed, unfortunately Bird has jumped the queue on the back of some impressive performances.

Especially against the Redbacks

Perhaps a lone voice, but, Smith acts like many young captains and as yet can not control his outer being. He feels the pressure when leading the side and struggles with his emotions yet when batting is a picture of patience.

Some of you may never have seen Alan Border as a young captain but he was far more demonstrative than Smith has ever been.

We are about to be 3 blot and on our way to five bloody nil. Onya Smithy.

I think he's learning, nothing has gone wrong this series so far so it's hard to tell.
I'd say the Indian incident should have woken him up.
Normal - no thanks, he'd end up batting like his counterpart and the series would be in doubt, give me the freak Smiffy any day thanks.
He's just not normal, just needs to tone down his dummy spits.
Can't wait for the return bout in England though after this debacle of a test, Barmy Army will smash us.
Love it.

He was a decent lower batsman at the start of his career, gone backwards rapidly as he's gone on.
