As a leading hand I had to corner a bloke about his BO after several complaints from other staff in one of my previous lives.

I've had to fire people, I've had to give people written warnings, but when he broke down in tears it was the hardest management discussion I've ever been involved in. It was awful.

A chick at work has recently taken up smoking but doesn't want anyone to know so she douses herself in perfume to mask the smell, it makes it 10 times worse though, I'd rather just smell the stale ciggy odour.

A mate of mine "doesn't smoke" but always has a pack of darts on him. Saturdays at the pub he'll whip out for 3 or 4 in a couple of hours and then when he gets in the car he grabs a Extra or two so his Mrs doesn't pick up on it. I have asked him how stupid does he think she is.

The smell on the fingers is the most pungent.

Yep, he was mortified that none of his work mates felt they could approach him about it. He told me he had a skin condition and he'd tried all types of sprays, roll ons, sticks etc and nothing agreed with him so he went without but in reality didn't know as nobody had ever said anything to him. He was used to it.

No, he did not. I just spoke to him about the complaints from other staff, in fact I think he may still even be in the same job and this discussion would have taken place in 2002 or 2003.
