Wine list is extensive, she always has at least 6 bottles on hand

Ambience - she's a bit deaf so sometimes the telly is up a bit high, easy fixed though.

No group surcharge, Monday nights we quite often have more than half a dozen people at tea and the price has never changed ;)

No Godfather cocktail but always has a stash of bootlegged gruppa on hand to put in the coffee afterwards.

I'm telling you, it's top notch - and so exclusive that extras are strictly invite only.

A better gnocchi you'll never eat.

Some home grown, not all but home grown tomatoes for the sauce, with a preference for cherry tomatos for a sweeter taste.

No kids being bonked on the head but she still has the wooden spoon she used to belt me with when I was naughty as a kid

I had never been, so we looked for a place to have dinner along the way.
We stopped in to the Bedford Hotel in Woodside.
A very old style country pub, we took a gamble.
Very happy with the outcome.

Kids meals for $10 were quite large and worth it.
Oldest lad had the spicy chicken salad and gave it the thumbs up.
Wifey had some chicken dish, which I cant remember, but she loved it.
I had surf & turf. Porterhouse was brilliant, seafood sauce lovely.
Bruschetta for entree was delectable.

Only negative was paying $1 per dinner roll, and working in the industry, Ive never understood charging for a bread roll.
Also, ice in soft drinks should be a given.

Moe's rating: 8.5/10

I had one of the best shnittys ever from that pub before the owners changed hands. one of the biggest as well

They used to sponsor my cricket club so ate there most Saturday nights for a while. Haven't dined there since the most recent change of owners, might need to give it a shot. Has had a fairly chequered recent history with a number of ownership changes.

Has it changed hands again in 2017? I was there about Easter time in 2016 and found out two weeks later it had new ownership. Not sure if they still do the big Parmys or not though

Changed hands again in 2017 mighty hounds, around mid-year from memory. So two different owners since the days of the massive parmys.

I've heard Jamies was always shit but Italian would easily be my least liked sort of food so never considered going there.
Flour, water and mould, yum.
A classic example of a place people want to be seen not eat, not my scene.

Went to Jamie’s a couple of years ago, my review is likely in this thread. Was ok but haven’t rushed back and it doesn’t seem like things have changed

Went to Mrs Qs on gouger street just before Christmas. It’s the old loft bar. Was excited to go there as the reviews were good.

Got a banquet for $50 a head. Entrees were great but every main lacked something.

The best of the lot was the salt and pepper bugs but they were tiny with almost no meat so were impossible to eat unless you wanted to eat the shell too.

Drinks service was very poor too, would have had at least a couple more drinks had they come over and served us.

5/10. Wouldn’t say anything was bad just wasn’t amazing. Won’t be rushing back given the quality of other places around.

Have been to Golden Boy. One of the best meals I’ve had in Adelaide. The food was so fresh and tasty and the array of spices was amazing. Easily the best Thai I’ve had in Australia and better than half the places in Thailand I’ve been to. Haven’t tried the Tuk Tuk menu yet but several people around us had it and the amount and variety of food was pretty impressive.

It was pretty full when we were there. The food is quite spicey which I like but can see how it’s too hot for some.
Have you been to Iberia just around the corner?
