4/157, shocking mix up ends in a runout. Austin Waugh is in, that first shot to wide mid off had a bit of Ricky Ponting in it.

Our one day form has been very good over the last 2 years especially with that bat we have consistently posted big scores so im hoping we can really perform well in the one dayers. I actually think our one day side is better then the aussies but im often wrong.

Roy has been killing it tonight. Has given some chances but his stroke play has been real good.

Can seriously play. Got all the shots. Personally I'd play him in our test side but I don't think that is any chance of happening.

Absolutely he can, has he been considered to play test cricket? Or does he not have the game for test cricket just yet if at all?

Aaron Finch clone
He wouldn’t make a run in test cricket

Hasn't ever really been considered. He doesn't play much first class cricket these days because of all the t20 he plays which hurts his chances. He averages just under 40 in first class cricket and actually averages more then stoneman and vince in div 1 county cricket. I think his technique is solid and would be fine in test cricket.

England's batting line up is very dynamic and dangerous so no doubt they can win this series.

Meh, these are just practice games for the next WC. England will be nowhere to be seen as usual at the next WC whilst we are racking up trophy number 6

I disagree with you there Jim. Reckon we will be right there with you this time around, this English team has been excellent for 2 years now. Batting is very deep and dangerous. Once you add stokes it's very very good. Australia will be right there as always though, need maxwell in the team for head and hazelwood for tye. I'd play Lyon over zampa also.

True, Roy has been good to watch though and even though he missed out tonight Hales is an entertaining player same with Buttler.

Every time the WC comes around we hear how good they will be.
Will be lucky to get past the quarters, they will find a way to bottle it they always do

Have to agree with Kevin Pietersen with his commentary about AJ Tye, think he is just a 20/20 bowler, not up to One day stuff.

Fair but we have never ever played this well in one day cricket. The last few world cups no English fan has been optimistic as we have been that far behind the eight ball but we have proven to be very good over the last few years and this time i personally am very optimistic. We are finally playing current one day cricket and not the 90 styles of one day cricket. Only took us 15 years to get there.

The worst 180 I have seen, but 180 is 180

6 knocks for 60 in 20/20 suggests the bloke is shit or shine and tonight is his night. Doesn't matter how many times you play and miss or miss a fielder by a couple of yards. It's gonna say 180 in the paper tomorrow

Australia have played and bowled like a team playing in a practice match after winning the Ashes 4 nil. England wanted it more and Roy rode his luck and struck the ball beautifully. Should be an interesting series now as an England win might add some interest.

Pretty happy that I will be watching a live series at AO on Straya Day
