Soccer was quiet yesterday so we spent most of the time stocking up the bars with Jack Daniels in preparation for next Tuesdays Foo Fighters concert.

AMERICAN Idiot, the smash Broadway musical based on the music of punk band Green Day, is headed to Adelaide.

And to make sure there’ll be plenty of real rock ’n’ roll spirit in the show, Grinspoon frontman Phil Jamieson has been given a leading role.

Despite spending 20 years belting out hits like Chemical Heart and Lost Control fronting the Grinners, Jamieson said he had plenty to learn before he could play his character of St Jimmy.

American Idiot, Her Majesty’s Theatre, January 19-28, 2018. Tickets on sale on October 9 at bass.net.au or on 131 246
I'm not really a fan of Musical's but I might actually go and see this.

Mrs Boon, whose Hall Pass is Phil Jamieson, has us front row in some upgrade package with book and blah, blah....so, I'm breaking my musical duck on Saturday 27th Jan.

Am I looking forward to it? Yes and no. Yes as I'm a Greenday fan and much of American Idiot rings true for me. No because I don't know what the hell to expect.

All the reviews have been nothing short of glowing to date so, here goes!

Should it be pretty easy to get a drink or do you think there could be some big line ups?
So you've seen everything have you?

It's a long way from being sold out so I'd expect it will be relatively easy to get a drink....."expect" and "relatively".

Musicals arent my go.
Had thought about it.
But saw a blonde bird on Today tonight last week in a promo piece and that was enough for me to not go. And the Mrs agreed and she is a big Green Day fan.

Also, if you get the chance, catch Adelaide band Electric Sex Pants. They're great fun and play straight-ahead rock n roll. Their lead singer is pretty damn good, too.

Eff me, I paid for 2 at $305 also shouted my lad a pair at the same price for the show in Brisbane.
Won't be fussed about the price if this show is as good as his last tour.
