6 knocks for 60 in 20/20 suggests the bloke is shit or shine and tonight is his night. Doesn't matter how many times you play and miss or miss a fielder by a couple of yards. It's gonna say 180 in the paper tomorrow

Australia have played and bowled like a team playing in a practice match after winning the Ashes 4 nil. England wanted it more and Roy rode his luck and struck the ball beautifully. Should be an interesting series now as an England win might add some interest.

Pretty happy that I will be watching a live series at AO on Straya Day

6 knocks in teeball suggests jack, as you are looking big off of every ball in the shortest format.

2 x knocks over 150 for Roy in the 50 over game suggests he is capable.

Clearly he is capable. Not capable enough to play in the main form though

His innings tonight started just like a 20/20 knock thus the relevance of the metaphor.

Not a test cricketers arsehole, but I disagree with the notion that his innings was all luck.

Fair enough, not all luck. You can't make 180 on just luck. As I said a great striker of the ball and spent time in Adelaide. From all reports a good lad. But if I had his good fortune tonight I'd be laying a spot 10 at the Highway and be on the rich man powder directly of a hookers honeypot 8)

I didn't watch the cricket yesterday/ last night but assumed the Aussies had lost as there was so mention of the game on the sports report on the radio this morning, poor form.

Ben Stokes charged with affray.
Will appear in a Bristol court, with 2 others at a date to be determined.

You would be almost tempted to take Alex Carey to South Africa wouldn’t you? He is our best keeping tallent we have had since Haddin was a young bloke. I strongly suspect he will be a far better player than Haddin long term. Bloke has tallent to burn and is pretty level headed.

Radio today said that Tim Paine might have a finger issue and a replacement might be required for tomorrow’s One Dayet

I didn't realise how bad his finger injury in the last few years actually was.

Twice he had a plate inserted, twice he broke the plate, twice the plate pulled the screws out the bone.

The few times I've seen Alex, I don't think he's been anything special with the gloves. Obviously he goes alright with the bat, and maybe the games I saw were abberations
