Driving on south rd just past the anzac hwy over/underpass.
Car from side st looking to turn right with traffic at a standstill. Cars in front blocked the intersection and then another car was looking to turn right intobthe side st. The driver put car in reverse and hit a police van....

Mate of mine (Big Stew) answers an ad selling moss rocks cheap. The seller & Big Stew agree on the price - $200
Big Stew drives his truck from Hallet Cove to Hectorville for pick up only to be told the bloke’s wife had already sold them & the other buyer “just left with the rocks” followed by “he paid $300 also” laughed the seller.
Stew politely asks when he found out his wife had also sold them (a good hour beforehand apparently).
“Why the f#ck didn’t you call me, I’ve driven all the way out here???”
“Yeah, I um s’pose I shoulda...”
Big Stew can be quite “ahem” persuasive and advised this dickhead it was in his best interests to cough up $200 to cover Stew’s diesel & time wasted.
He obliged, quite quickly

The outrage from some people on social media at cancelled Australia Day events due to the heat.

Even funnier are the people that think it's part of some big conspiracy.

Join the dots with the left-wing-pinko-bleeding heart-solar panel-climate change agenda and it makes perfect sense. Global warming causes hotter summers, Australia Day is in summer, Australia Day gets too hot, can't do stuff on Australia Day, cancel Australia Day and move it to a colder date. ;)

Only by choice, my super pension is more than enough. Most sporting/concert gigs I do are 3-5 hours and I very rarely work more than 2 days a week.
This week is a bit different as the Foo Fighters gig was 8 hours and the One Dayer on Friday will be longer again. Its actually fun to go to these events and I feel I shouldnt be paid but accept it none the less. ;)
Great physically too after being in an office for almost 30 years, the weight keeps falling off me and I feel great.
No outside exercising, diets or reduction of alcohol needed. Its amazing doing something I love and Im very thankful that I hooked into the best super in the world in the late 80s that the government had to sell Telstra off to pay for. Being 47 and better better off than most people 20 years older than me is an amazing feeling. :)

A good position to be in. I have another 10 or so years to go before retirement (although some suggest I am semi-retired now!) and I guess you go crazy the first 12-24 months doing all the stuff you always wanted to do.... then what? Some part time work, inline with what you're doing would be a good outlet I guess.

Yeah, a break of doing nothing was great for a while but it gets boring. I enjoy doing something I love (as opposed to 28 years of sitting in an offfice like I did)
I also want to be in a position where my partner gets to retire or at least go oart time, she only hits LSL this year.
