Took my young lad to watch the test team have a net session 1999-2000. After they finished with fielding they signed autographs as you do.
S.Waugh, Gilchrist, and Warnie were brilliant and signed every kids bat.
Interacted great with the kids and was good to see stay so long.
M Waugh....ordinary! Signed about 4 autographs, paid some poor kid out and walked off.
An old lady tried to get him to give McGrath a bunch of flowers to give to Jane.
His reply.......no thanks, and walked into the dressing room?

sums at Mark waugh perfectly

How dare you speak about Mark Waugh like that, his one the nicest, helpeful yadda yadda yadda, etc etc etc...............................you will ever meet.

I wonder if Eagles2014 and MW are reading this!!!!!

Love it!!

I know a young girl (would be in her 30's now) who idolised the Waugh twins. She had a scrapbook of every article, photo, story of them both. Was amazing. One net session at Adelaide Oval she waited there all day, front row, watching them train, waiting to see them. Steve stopped and looked through the book, spoke to her, spent nearly twenty minutes with her and made her day. Mark totally snubbed her and kept walking, did not give her one minute of his time. Sums him up to a tee in my opinion!

Just back to the tour squad. I would habe thought Sayers would have been included basically because really he is our form of Philander.

To Webber's defence, it must be hard picking up a root when you're an F1 driver.

There is an entire chapter in Mark's autobiography on how they ended up together...she was once his manager trying to seal deals to get him to F1.

Trevor Hohns really is an arrogant prick isn't he!

See his response to Chad Sayers for not contacting him about his non selection.
