Harvey was an extremely handy ODI player, would have been perfect for T20's

Definitely, was quality at state level and arguably the best death bowler at the time.

Was a handy bowling all rounder for Australia considering he was always asked to bowl at the crucial stages

Get off Smith whats with his head shaking all the way off in disbelief every time he gets out?

A wonder Mr Fidgety didn't ask for a review for this dismissal.....about the 1st time all summer he hasn't - get off!

I reckon he's shaking his head because he's p!ssed off with him self for getting out, nothing to do with disbelief, IMO.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

You're one of the generation post the retirements in 2007 & 2008 of Langer, Hayden and Symonds and Hodge falling off the radar who were given opportunities but didn't quite take them. Based on your last two games, international cricket has passed you by.

You've done better than most cricketers in getting a baggy green and playing some good one-day innings in the past.

Go and enjoy retirement mate or some T20 paydays whichever takes your fancy.

Surely it's Maxwell in for the Perth game if Finch is no good.

Nah reeks of gen Y who are overt in their emotions and feelings.

AS opposed to the Gen X (Waugh, Healy Warne) and Baby boomers (Border, Chappells) who would be more taciturn apart from the tea pot stance and a muttered "F***" (on the whole) but would think what Smith feels but not show it. Yes they did spit it publically but not as regularly as what Smith does.

I wish he wasn't as demonstrative as it shows how easy it is for the opposition to get to him.

Exactly. He's a perfectionist who isn't afraid of wearing heart on sleeve. I love it and reckon he's a great role model.

Strange game
England after being 5/8 then virtually dominated the rest of this match [even allowing for Travis Heads batting]
To lose by only 3 wickets was a very good fight back

Ive said it before, when Smith has a bad run of form the Australian public will be very quick to turn on him. He is a spoilt brat, private school pedigree to i believe and thats how he comes across to the averge Joe, some of us are a bit quicker on the uptake, the rest of you will get there in time when youre not blinded by his performances with the willow.
Nothing shits me more than a batsman who takes forever to get off the ground after being dismissed. anyone who does that in my club i certainly let them know. You should be quick to get out there, sows intent and quick to get off, with any luck theres a few hours in between.

Why do we still have One Day Cricket?
It's obsolete, was even before 20/20 took off too IMHO.
