Fair effort from the young ladies!

I see that Darcie Brown has been selected to play in an U18 T20 invitational match as well involving the best talented U18 girls in the country.

Yeah, she had already been selected for that prior to the tournament, has a ton of ability and as quick as any 20 year old girl getting around, probably needs to slow it down a little as once she strays one down the leg side there's a fair chance it's reaching the boundary, can bat too, has a great cricket orientated family, one of the nicest families I've met.

Her two older brothers go well for Kapunda and SA Country.

Joey Brown's sister? He was (is) a good cricketer. Would have been interesting to see how far he went at the Jets but from memory footy at Centrals and later on Crows reserves list took priority.

Rachel Church from Kangaroo Island is also playing in that Aussie U18 game. Country SA represent!

Her dad is a lovely bloke.
I played a fair bit of footy against him in the Riverland.

Correct - the BOM.

Annoys me when people look at their phones for the weather forecast or whatever, or find some random website that predicts different temps haha.

FWIW bom.gov.au

38 - FRI
42 - SAT
42 - SUN

That's improved from the 41 degree forecast for Friday earlier in the week also.

My missus does it, I just shake my head and give her the old "yeah right, we'll see".

Yeah right.
Peaked at 32.4 yesterday and 36.5 today (and those figures are from the BOM)

So yeah.... Spot on weren't they. The sooner we start treating heat like we do rain at cricket games, the better.
Deal with the actual conditions rather than reacting to a forecast.
Could have played all grades today and the one day games tomorrow.

Would of been interesting to see what the decision would of been if it had been a Sat/Sun two day game?
SF of 2 day comp gets washed out highest team goes through no reschedule. 1 day QF can get moved :-\

Games get moved if they can. Always have.

End of season is harder because you run out of alternative dates. Easter, leases on ovals run out.

Absurd statement... Footy season literally starts the week after the 1st Grade Final - no room for movement with ground change overs etc...

This is something that can be changed and was, but yet is an issue to you.. some people just love a whinge hey

Looking at Premiership Table, there has to be something said for going with a new coach, just refreshes the whole Club if you get the right person, and can turn the whole Club around.

Last year, West Torrens went from bottom to top with New coach, and ended up winning all three flags.

This year, four Clubs with new coaches are sitting pretty. Adelaide Uni are 2nd, Sturt are 3rd, Glenelg are 4th and Adelaide are equal 5th. Cant argue with those stats.

Exception is obviously TTG, but you would have to say the team Sleepy has had for the last ten years, to have only one the Two day Premiership once, really could be seen as a bit of a failure. Especially if they cant get the chocolates again this time.

Reckon Woodville should take a leaf out of these Clubs and get a new coach next season as McNally has been there a number of years with no success, and their A Grade team on paper is pretty strong. Think the right coach could win them a Premiership next year.
