We jumped in the car and drove the hour and a half to the airport, booking flights on the way to get the 4pm plane to Melbourne.
Was amazing being there and so glad I went. Managed to get close enough to eyeball the goat afterwards on one of his walks.
Went to the Crown about 3am and won $350 in 1 punt ($10 on #18 on first roulette table I saw), put in pocket and caught taxi to airport to get the 6.00am flight (plus half hours sleep on the window sill) to get to work by 9am.
Crazy day, but well worth it!

Awesome mate, when I seen it on FB I thought you must've been holidaying over there already, great spot, great story.

Whats a holiday? Lol.

Going back through it all last night to work out costs etc, (most was paid on my cc) turns out with everything included, Taxi's, Tea, beer (only drank 2) tickets, flights etc was only $680 each. Take the winnings off that and its a pretty cheap trip for what it was considering the cheapest full price ticket to the game was $440 prior to being sold out.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

The cost of the experience bears no monetary value though.

It's funny how karma finds a way to help when it can, I few years ago I organised a lavish birthday party for my daughter and won $500 on keno the day before, the exact same thing happened in the same year a day before my sons birthday.

Exactly. Its more of a reflection on that it didn't hurt the pocket either which is an added bonus.
I need to gamble more often based on some of your stories! Ha.

Keno king

Won 13 spot 5's for that year, I'd watch it for a while and then pick an area that hasn't been used for a while.

Every time I've won, the numbers all touched each other, I've won on 43,44,45,46 & 47 five times, 6,16,26,36,& 46 three times.

I don't play it much at all anymore, I had a year after a split up where I lived near a pub that I frequented daily after work for a couple of hours.

Hobart Hurricanes [and hopefully the Strikers tomorrow night]....got offer tickets to the work box if Strikers host Sundays final, genuinely thought Perth would win tonight so never really thought it would be played here, now at least a coin flip chance.

The return of Shaun Micalleff's 'Mad as Hell'. Still the funniest and cleverest thing on free-to-air television.

Someone I met through card collecting told me to expect something in the mail.

Today I received this. One of these is worth $100 by itself.
