His contract ends in 2018...he's not going to show anything different between now and then to change their mind. Clearly one of our best across half back when fit and deserves it.

When fit he is definitely but he’s not fit that’s the thing.
Given his game is built on speed and long kicking who knows what the knee recon might do.
Give him a 1 year extension and see how he goes?

Player agents have clubs by the balls, blokes of Smith's quality don't agree to one year deals, simple as that.

I think the trigger clauses are more important these days than the length of contract.

I believe that the Crouch brothers are sporting some injuries. No idea who has what, one has a calf injury and the other i believe has a corked thigh.
Believed to have happened over the weekend at a venue in the CBD.
