2 games!

MRP Michael Christian said the 2 game penalty would be the same given to a male in the same circumstances.

Excellent, the 1 man panel is already providing shit results.

Pretty lenient, could've ended up with a nasty gash.

No

I think thats part of the issue, they use a size 4 footy which is actually harder to kick than a full size footy.

For a bloke yes. Different for a woman with (usually) much smaller feet?

Leaving that alone LOL

After a few stud marks from a boot she'd look like a split golf ball.

Saw the last quarter of the crows game today.
Has the standard gone backwards from last year?

It was very ordinary to say the least.
Some of the girls could barely hold the ball correctly let alone kick it.

I watched some of the games on TV last year and didn’t mind it but doubt I’ll be watching many games this year.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Full size footy has a larger sweet spot, will travel further and easier to guide from hand to foot.

I've coached juniors that have gone from Size 4 to full size and all agreed the full size was much easier to kick.

Ive only watched bits and pieces this year, but what Ive picked up is the girls are so much fitter and faster this year, which is causing more pressure on the ball carrier than last year, they don't have the quick handball skills to open it up.

Dont compare it to Men, take it for what it is, I enjoy that they go flat out and really care about the result, rather that the seeing all the skills but little interest in winning.

Good point, I endured a couple of games of it yesterday on the idiot box and thought the intensity was there but the polish wasn't, many turnovers and slow with the hands, overall, it is gaining momentum.

I watched over the wend and I believe it is getting worse !

The product is woeful and the women commentators must be watching a different game .

At least the spectators don't pay to watch.

I'd get rid of the forward and back pocket players and make it a 4 person forward and back line. Take 8 off the field and make the ground smaller.

Like the mini league and have lines on the oval .

Won't see any dramatic improvement for 10 years. Little girls watching now see that they have somewhere to aspire too and they will start kicking a footy and develop skills that males normally have by always having a footy in their hands. Skills in the 40's or 50's of mens games were horrible compared to now. Thats why ive always said even the worst team now would flog the best teams back then because they would just control the ball so much. They crash in hard because that doesnt take real talent only desire (which some men dont have). I dont like it so i dont watch it.

Sorry mate but I can't agree with you there.

The SANFL Under 16 girls academy is a pretty full on training regime where the major focus is fast tracking girls for this comp in the next few years.

It is far more intense than previous years with Emma Gibson at the helm and has a great list of assistants for the sessions, we aren't the only state ramping this up either so I'd suggest that we will see a vast improvement across the board once these girls hit 19 or 20 and then some more each additional year.
