Football doesn't do anything to it necessarily. All grounds (with good curators) end up a mud heap in winter but spring back fine.

Most important thing is to get the new square laid in summer, give it a chance to nit and grow before football and the cold weather starts.

As long as a square finishes the cricket in season in good shape with strong grass coverage it will come back again when the sun pokes its nose out.

It's the squares that finish cricket season with massive bare patches where the grass has died off that have trouble. 'Football' ruins these grounds supposedly but really it's curators who don't know what they are doing.

Interesting result in LO4. Adelaide Uni called the game despite still needing 5 runs with a couple of overs to go. The books didn’t add up and were both short. Sang the song and everything. Might pay for them to check the book next time as it cost them a game of cricket.

A number of projects were delayed due to issues with supply of the black soil needed. Not sure about the others, but we aren't playing football there until mid may

Soil is an issue every year, bloody annoying!
Good job keeping footy off it. She'll be fine by mid may.
Hope all goes well.

From the outside, they appear to be a well run club, good luck to them & their success.

People used to say the same about Grange when they were successful and won Premierships, really up to the Club how they spend their money!

The alleged money that was bandied around back in 2000 to 2005 at Grange was absolutely laughable..
Similar to Pooraka now, it was a great culture with some guys that could actually play a bit and the rest is history !!!

And I can't see them stacking their side for the big dance, there seemed to be a good bit of rivalry between the two.

Walkerville play top placed Para Hills this round.
Walkerville have dropped their last two games and would need a big turnaround in form to hold onto 3rd.

It might be better to finish 4th and play Para Hills than 3rd and play Pooraka. Having said that Para Hills have a lot of work to do to stay top. Very interesting at the other end of the table. Goodwood at home to Payneham and ROCS. If they win both games I expect them to leapfrog both of those team to safety.

Some big games in A2 this week. Ingle Farm at Woody Rechabites and a relegation battle between Hectorville and Brighton. Hard to believe Brighton could slip to A3 after being so strong in A1 for so long.
