Just lobbed at the Port Admiral.
Ive seen trhe developments of this place over the last coupla years.
Not sold on the outside appearance. Prefer the heritage look of the area.
But inside theyve done a treeemendous job.

Kicking it off with the Port Lager brewed by the Pirate Life lads....which is nice.

The girls and I went to the emu. Service was great but I had quite possibly the worst beef schnitzel of all time.

The outside fits in with the heritage look of the area. The contrasting colours of the quions, the archs and window trimmings to the facade is very much in the spirit of old Port Adelaide. Perhaps the colour scheme isn't as prevalent in the area now, but it sure would have been at one point.

Lobethal bierhaus outstanding.

slow cooked Pork spring rolls for entree good

Pork belly for main amazing had peanut brittle served with it which was different but really enhanced the meal.
Pressed slow cooked lamb slightly disappointing, lacked a little flavour, just tatsted a bit like Roast lamb you cook yourself at home

Maple bacon and peanut butter spring rolls with a rasberry sauce and banana ice cream absolutely amazing.

9/10 lose a point for having to go up to the counter to order.

Out of the 6 beers on the tasting paddle only liked 2 of them. This didnt surprise me now that im back on the Red Tin wagon for the 1st time in about 20 years

Ok my drinking life in a nut shell
Red Tins 14-23
Pale ale 23-40ish
Mecury Cider 40ish to 43
Superdry/Mercury 6mths
Red Tins last 6 months
Think im finding it easier to drink, not so "heavy" like Pale ale. my other tastes in beers atm would be Peroni and Boags.

I look after all the beers at the Cricket Club, last year it wouldve been 4 cartons of superdry to 1 of Reds. This year it would easily be the other way round, almost cant get rid of the superdrys.
Have they changed the red tin recipie in the last year or is it just a revalution??

I think fat bastards with beer guts have worked out the Dry / low carb beers are just as damaging to the waist line as any other beer.

After a long day in the sun I'd take a WED over a Pale, but only the first couple you smash down, after that I'm interested in something I enjoy. ;)

14 - 18 -> Red Tins
18 - now -> Pales
Now -> Red Tins/Pales

I'm definitely finding the Pales are very enjoyable, but they're too heavy now.

Pales at the Cricket Club went out of fashion about 2 years ago. I had a carton at the start of the season and it took until Feb to get rid of it.
On Booneys point about the low carb thing, it may have been a selling point at one stage and you make allownace for something that is inferior in taste for that benefit but there comes a point where you say **** it im drinking something i enjoy and to hell with the waist line. Million other things you can cut out before good tasting beer
