Not looking forward to the likely prospect of Cyclone Gita delaying my flights, since its apparently going to make land at the same as my flight.

Talking to the locals last week they seemed to think it will weaken by the time it gets there and just clip the top of the North Island. Should be ok down in Wellington.

Current predictions say its track will run though the top of the south island, with rain and winds in Wellington.

The Australian Gridiron League.

Last time we played QLD here, WA in Perth and NSW in Sydney.

This year we're going to Melbourne and Brisbane, and also have home games against NSW and WA.

The standard of competition goes up dramatically when you're taking on the best in Australia.

We're a month into practice, and games start mid April.

Can't wait.

Funny you should mention cruising.

On Sunday arvo I pulled into the Tennyson Dunes car park to reply to a text. Pulled up, no cars in the car park.

All of a sudden, four or five cars pull in and park at all different areas of the car park. One of them right next to me. The guy gets out and leans on the passenger door, staring in my window.

Once I'd finished my text convo, I started the car, and the guy next to the car walked over to another car and was looking in that window.

I mentioned it to the person I was texting, and they thought the same thing as me.

I had to remove myself from the area, because I don't know if I have the willpower to say no.

Backed it up last night too. Only an hour session but I was knackered after. Sounds like I’ve got an U/19 trial game next Saturday. #freekickhawthorn
